Zinesubmissions started some years ago as a way to promote zines seeking submissions and to connect zine makers with those who have something relevant to say. When I started this tumblr, this was super important to me, to get the word out. Grassroots projects like zines are a vital way to learn who you are as an artist and to reach people in a long-lasting way. Plus the community is great :D
I still believe in this mission, but I don’t have it in me to see it through–that may be obvious to those who have tried to get their calls boosted with no answer from my end. I moved away from the US a few years ago and that’s when I also began moving away from tumblr. I had to leave my whole zine collection in the states and zines aren’t really part of the scene here in Denmark, so I’ve really been out of it all.
So, who wants to run this place? If you’re interested, send me a message telling me a bit about yourself, what your experience is in the zine scene, any relevant blogs, and let me know what your vision for Zinesubmissions is.
I can’t wait to hear from you!
