A strapping, young Gargoyleosaurus in pencil.
How great would it be if there was one of these guys left alive and it just hung out on a church roof all day? And altar boys would get sent up to feed it all sorts of greens. Sounds like a children’s book. I better get royalties for this.

Styracosaurus is sleeping on the comfiest stick around. It is his pride and joy. His hatchlings don’t even come close.
Dinovember Day 26.
A very pissed off Gastonia burgei gives chase to an unfortunate Utahraptor ostrommaysorum. A friendly reminder that herbivores aren’t all completely harmless or amiable…
This scene was inspired by instances where one or more Cape buffalo, when being pursued by lions, actually turn the tables on the lions and end up chasing them. And considering how formidable dinosaurs like Gastonia where, I can easily imagine scenes like this playing out at least on occasion.
I partially based the coloration for the Utahraptor based by Trefor Woronov/TrefRex’s redesign of the one from Walking with Dinosaurs here. The bald purple head was my own bit.

An unfortunate Euoplocephalus became disorientated and became lost in an arid dry land. So did a Dromaeosaurus; but lucky for him, he can snack on the Euoplocephalus until he remembers which way was home

Tarchia finds some water in an interdunal oasis. And Avimimus finally gets a break from the heat. I won’t get a ton of opportunities with the month coming to an end, but hoping to do more “extended stories” within the same formation like in this piece.
