Styracosaurus sketch. This makes me think of the “scaring cats with cucumbers” meme, but having a spooked Styracosaurus on your hands would be disastrous.

A little sketchdump I put together as a thanks for hitting 2K followers on Twitter. Everything but the steg is a request from a follower in one way or another. Enjoy!

Here are some baby Pachycephalosaurus for JurassicJune. Some may be more familiar with the name “Dracorex” but it seems unlikely that it was a separate species at the moment.

I know Dracorex already exists as a separate species in film canon (or at least as far as Jurassic World Evolution is concerned), but I liked this idea too much to give up on it. Enjoy!

Here are some hypothetical baby Jurassic Park hadrosaurs that pull from the film designs, fossil specimens of ParasaurolophusandHypacrosaurus, as well as general “baby” proportions the series has used before.

I won’t be doing daily uploads for Jurassic June, but some more JP ontogeny-themed drawings could be fun. Stay tuned!

Anchiceratops at the watering hole with other Horseshoe Canyon Formation contemporaries, Pachyrhinosaurus canadensisandEdmontosaurus regalis.

I’m a little behind on my drawings as you may be able to tell, but it’s fine. I can probably catch up again before too long.

Dinovember Day 16: Saved for a Rainy Day

Hypacrosaurus caught out in the rain. This feels super atmospheric and I like how the rain effects came out.

Hypsilophodon was just trying to take a look down into the ferns, and his bud here just went and pushed him off solely because

he a asshole.

Also I just found out Hypsilophodonhad little opposable pinkies which I think is adorable.

Uteodon sleeping on the skull of some past potential predator. All is well in the Jurassic today.

The colors are super vaguely based on masks and horses painted for Día de los Muertos. I know I’m a little late, but a neighborhood near me just had their parade today.

Muttaburrasaurus fluffs up the nest to ensure the wee babs are comfortable and warm. And is possibly eating some of it, but that’s besides the point.

I only like Prosaurolophuses. And Prosaurolophuses like me too.

Happy Holidays and whatever else to everybody! It’s been quite the year art-wise. So much made and so much artistic progress. I’ll more than likely be posting a monthly art meme before the year is over. So much stuff I’m proud to have made.

That being said, I got my first full time job recently! And as exciting as that is, it means things are going to slow down somewhat on the art front. I won’t be dead, I have far too much planned for that. But don’t expect anything too often since I won’t have much time to work on art at least until I get used to my new schedule and how to make the most of it. Not that I put out art all the time, but just figured I’d make it known.

Hope you all enjoy and have some fun and cozy winter times.

Scelidosaurus finds a Kayentachelys hiding out in the shade. They better not get too close though. I got a feeling they’re both biters.

My 2018 Dinovember Powerball is finally over! Major props to everyone who decided to do this with me (basically @goldenchocoboand@sailorgojirarex1997 from what I can tell). Some fantastic art got made (some I never expected at least from myself given the prompts) so I’m hoping it was worth all the extra work it involved for everyone. Now I can finally relax a bit and go back to more periodic posts. Although that JP Palettes Parasaurolophus was like *that* close to being done before I decided to take this monster challenge on a whim, so that should be up soon. I hope everyone enjoyed seeing all this art and maybe I’ll do it again next year if I’m not really busy and ready to bring on such an undertaking again. Thanks!

Homalocephale is eaten by a sneaky Alioramus. Although it’ll have to eat fast if it doesn’t want a Tarbosaurus to swipe their snack.

We’re getting to the tail end of Dinovember now. Hope everyone’s hanging in there! With the art and whatever else.

a Hypsilophodon pair and their three remaining young come across a Gobiconodon and are taking no chances, trying to scare it off with displays of mad, furious hopping and screeching.

That mammal is rad!

Tarchia finds some water in an interdunal oasis. And Avimimus finally gets a break from the heat. I won’t get a ton of opportunities with the month coming to an end, but hoping to do more “extended stories” within the same formation like in this piece.

Some paleoart I did for my new job of one of my favourite dinos, P. lakustai!

[ID. A digitally painted profile of the face of Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai, a ceratopsian with a large boss above it’s nose and a smaller boss above its eye, and a single “unicorn” spike on the middle portion of its frill. It is illustrated in browns with some darker stripes and an eyespot on the frill.

The skull used for reference is illustrated in flat black and white in the background and is overlain with the text: “Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai/Lakusta’s Thick-Nosed reptile from Pipestone Creek, Grande Prairie”.  END]

CORONOSAURUS
Crown lizard”
Late Cretaceous, 77 million years ago

This ceratopsid was originally thought to be a species of Centrosaurus. But despite the requisite centrosaurine nose horn, plus additional barbs on its frill (“epiparietals”), Coronosaurus would still have had no trouble wearing a g*****n mask.
