Okay, so I watched Castlevania at long last, and I have thoughts™
Firstly, this thing was based off of a VIDEO GAME, YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO GO THAT HARD, MY H E A R T you MONSTERS
Secondly, I would die for Sypha Belnades.
The barely-coherent above doodles are my attempts at redesigning Sypha, starting with features, then clothing style, and then finally the actual clothing worn throughout the series. I loved her canon design, but the Speakers were pretty explicitly based off of Romani peoples, what with the nomadic lifestyle and the being blamed for everything that ever goes wrong and all, so I wanted to do a design of Sypha that was more in line with how Romani people look. I actually had a lot of fun!!
But Artsy, don’t you have an unfinished Star Wars series you haven’t updated in like, fore sshhhhhhh sexy vampires

Here’s some doodles I’ve been working on. I’ve started painting lineless works, and I think it’s been going well. Rosemary is @queersforpluto’s OC, whom I ADORE! I’m still working on Katooni’s design, and I’m pretty happy with how it’s going. Though figuring out a solid design for the clone troopers is still a problem.

I think it was very sexy of @glimmerglanger to create one of the most compelling AUs I’ve ever read and center it around one of my favourite ships.
For those of you who have not read Flotsam and Jetsam, you really should. It’s basically The Little Mermaid, if the little mermaid was gay, set in the forties, had inter-oceanic underwater warfare, and dealt with period-specific mental healthcare and homophobia, as well as dealing with C-PTSD and contained some really well-written smut.
I joke, but really. It’s a really good story and you need to go read it. I was going to post this during Commander Cody Week, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do it this year. I’m getting into my second year of Uni, and my new lecturers do not fuck around. Wish me luck!

Hey guys, I got back into the Clones Wars again. In a drastic attempt to avoid The Finale™, I instead revisited an old AU where The fate of the galaxy is drastically changed by a bunch of masters being assigned Those Younglings from The Gathering (a la Yoda is a little shit).
Katooni wound up with Obi-Wan. Became a catalyst for Anakin and Obi-Wan discussing Feelings, and generally existed with more screen time. I mean, they’re all so cute??? Why did we get so little of them???
Plus, whenever Hondo comes across them, he is absolutely delighted by the two-for-one favorite-Jedi special.
A note: the square color swathes to the right are the lightsaber blade colors I use. the square patches at the top are the colors I use for Katooni specifically. The bags on the top left are clipped to the back of Katooni’s belt, and vary outfit to outfit. The little circles are padawan bead colors; all but the brown, purple, and orange ones are canon. Here we go:
Red bead= piloting
Blue bead= mechanics
yellow bead= weaponry and saber work
white bead= healing
green bead= the living force and meditation
black bead= very rare; jedi version of covert ops
Headcanon beads:
orange bead= politics and negotiation
brown bead= crime and law enforcement
purple bead= history and archiving
The black strips with colored chips are my version of the access codes certain people in the GAR keep on hand for quick, easy access to information and equipment.
Steel: Ordinary troopers and soldiers.
Red: Clone and Padawan Commanders.
Red-Yellow: Jedi Knights.
Red-Yellow-Blue: Jedi Generals.
I’m so glad to have this done. Now that I’ve indulged in this hyper-fixation, I can now skip to a completely different one, depriving my beloved followers of any kind of consistency like it’s the plague:)

Alright you fabulous losers, I’m gonna say this once. You have every right to feel stressed right now, and like creating things is difficult. Your first priority is your own health - emotional, mental, and physical.

The Good News: My self-isolation partnered with the national lock-down has given me the free time to sit and draw:)
The Bad News: Aside from no longer going to class, Nothing else about my life has really changed. My normal, day-to-day routine is apparently definable as “quarantine”. Hmm.
Anyway, I was re-reading the Sansûkh by determamfidd, and it struck me how few women are actually found in the canonical stories. It was ahead of it’s time, make no mistake, but there are only one or two named women from each race. In fact, only three female hobbits are ever named, and none of them interact with the story in any meaningful way: Rosie Cotton, Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, and Belladonna Baggins (nee Took).
I got inspired to try designing a character instead of redesigning them, so here we have Bella. All we know, really, is that she was The Old Took’s youngest (and favorite) daughter, and that she was Bilbo’s mother. She was well-known to Gandalf, whom she accompanied on many a distasteful adventure.
I based her face off of Sonia Forbes-Adam, James Nesbitt’s wife, as she played her for a cut scene. The clothing, and Hobbit clothing in general, is inspired by 1700′s higher and lower middle-class English fashion. In these images, she is wearing: her wedding dress, her normal clothes, and her adventuring clothes:)

Me: I really ought to be drawing actual pictures with backgrounds and stuff, instead of doing coloring in pages. It’s immature, and I really need the practice with linework anyway.
My Brain: You’re in the middle of a stressful move and are beginning university. It has been proven that coloring has a soothing effect, and so long as don’t claim the original drawing as yours, you’re doing nothing wrong; not to mention you run this blog freely and don’t have any obligation to prioritize it over your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

I put way too much effort into this, but I thought about what kind of skins Lynx would have if they became a playable, and… I’ve spent a week solid on this. why.
The Nerd skin was my brother’s idea, because when I was trying to explain who Lynx was his only question was “But do they like Star Wars?” The bat is from a post about Lynx not being support and just showing up like…where is sombra
