cool hollyleaf idea: due to the stress of the fire scene she develops some white flecks. maybe on her chest to signify like.. her heart. n then when she kills ashfur more white shows on her muzzle and front paws . when she threatens leafpool the white on her paw she pushes forward the berries extends further up her arm (mimicking squirrelflights white paw).
after the cave-in she is completely white like a ghost.

In my version of my crowfeather and squirrelflight AU the fire scene still happens but instead ashfur traps squirrelflight within the flames, revealing he knows her secret about crowfeather being the father of her kits. He has the intention to kill her but thankfully lionblaze is able to take him out and hollyleaf is able to help her mother up out of the ditch ashfur had trapped her in. Ashfur however gets the better of lionblaze when he turns to see if his mother was okay and runs off. Ashfur later reveals the secret at the gathering and is banished for it when the three and squirrelflight come forward as to what had happened the night of the fire but I feel like I don’t want that to be it for ashfur but haven’t really thought of what he would do next. There’s still a lot more that happens in between all of this but I haven’t written it down fully yet lol :D
