#attack of the clones
I think Vader was feeling a deep and supreme disappointment at seeing Obi-Wan again. He’s been thinking of almost nothing else for ten years, wanting revenge on master Kenobi, the warrior that bested him in battle and maimed him completely, and he was probably imagining some intense rematch in which he would overtake Obi-Wan as he was in his prime. And instead he’s met with this old man who hasn’t held a light saber in ten years, running away from him, no desire to fight him, none of the old Obi-Wan spirit familiar to him.
It makes total sense to me that Vader let Obi-Wan go. To kill him then, as a weak man who had no interest in fighting him (and barely could) would not have satisfied his desire for revenge. And that disappointment is probably going to FUEL his ANGER and HATE and omg so excited to see these next few episodes

Happy 20th Anniversary to Attack of the Clones, which had one of the greatest posters of all time— this hung on my college dorm door freshman year because I am old AF and also because I was obsessed. This poster still has me in a chokehold, I’ll be honest. Anyway, just me blasting Across the Stars all day today, nothing to see here.

Star Wars movies:
We’re a fun romp about good versus evil and fighting against an awful Galactic Empire. This is a pop culture icon and staple. The story is based on the hero’s journey. Yes, there are moments that are hard and sad, but our stories are focused on hope and the intrinsic good within people.
Star Wars TV shows (and Rogue One):
Yes to all of that, and now we’re going to make the movies hurt. We’re going to show the cost of doing (or trying to do) the right thing. Fighting for hope and the inherent good in people has costs. You won’t watch the movies the same way because of us. When you see a specific moment or event or character, you’ll remember us and what it took to get to that story point in the movie.
Today I’ve illustrated my favorite outfit for Padme Amidala. It was such a joy painting this, and maybe I’ll make some more.
