Panic! In The Bathtub

So band camp was last week, I would like you guys to meet box boy

Trumpet player:No

*samsung ringtone goes off*

Conductor: That’s not on the program.

Conductor: You we’re rushing and leading everyone off the cliff with you.

Tuba player: Hey, at least i’m a leader!

Conductor: Right, now we all hate Jeff Bezos. However, I did order a little microphone and speaker so you all can hear me through my mask.

Tuba player: *playing Minecraft music during break*

Conductor: I need more intensity. I expect you to be shooting lasers out of your eyes.

Tuba player: Sorry, that’s only on Thursdays.

Conductor, to tuba player: You keep playing off beat.

Trombone player: If it means anything, I was trying not to follow him.

Conductor: *ranting about how people need to be writing in their music*

Percussionist: *quietly tuning the timpani*

Conductor: God? Is that you?

Conductor: Alright, one more time. Preferably in tune.

Tuba player: I can play it half an octave lower if you want.

Trumpet player: *plays small part from last seasons music*

The entire orchestra: *war flashbacks*

Conductor: I’m not conducting a Sousa march here, we have transitions.

Conductor, pointing to bassoonist: You, that was good.

Bassoonist: *Does a little dance*

Storytime: Today’s Recital

so I had my viola recital today and basically I had one rehearsal with the pianist the day before. We ran through it once and my teacher was like “ok slow it down a bit” so we did it a bit slower and it was good. But today. I got up on stage (no warm up) and the piano started the intro bit. Shawty played it soooo slowwww. Like I had been playing 3 times that speed. So I’m freaking out and somehow manage to play through it without major mistakes. So yeah fun on the spot adapting today ✌️✌️

I officially decided I’m going to be a viola performance major so that’s fun. the college application process has been stressful but it’s almost time to start my submission process yayyy. so ya I guess this blog will follow me all the way through college fun times :))

side note: ask me questions about applying!! i had soooo many questions so I’d like to help if I can!!

1. Dvorák- obviously, zero competition, go listen to my playlist for him it slaps.

2. Debussy- honestly this french boi knew what he was doing!! slowly moved up my list but he deserves to be here!!

3. Tchaikovsky- such romance, such love, all around beauty

4. Brahms- his chamber music is on another level (auditioning with his 2nd symphony was not fun tho)

5. Stravinsky- ok I know I hate on some of the newer guys but my man strav can get it, firebird is sexcccc

6. Rachmaninoff- god that piano concerto- you know the one, I’m in love

7. Mahler- this dude drank big brain juice, his symphonies are fire every time

8. Shostakovich- such suffering turned into such beauty, you can really taste that pain and I love it

9. Ravel- basically go listen to the second movement of his string quartet, that’s all

10. Chopin- his stuff is actual art, I sleep to his music every night
