shoutout to gay boys who feel too thin and gay boys who feel too fat
shoutout to gay boys who are growing up poor or are in abusive situations and have to take care of loved ones before getting to focus on yourself
shoutout to gay boys not ready yet to come out or being forced to stay in the closet
shoutout to gay boys who fit “the stereotype”
shoutout to gay boys who are told they’re too feminine and don’t ever feel comfortable enough in their skin
shoutout to gay boys who have to deal with femmephobia daily
shoutout to gay boys who force themselves to do things and like things just to appear more masculine to family and friends
shoutout to gay boys who are afraid to come out to or aren’t allowed to come out to elderly or sickly relatives
shoutout to gay boys who have no one else in their family who is LGBT
shoutout to gay boys who are the only out gay person in their grade at school
shoutout to gay boys who were told they were gay before they even knew what being gay was
shoutout to gay boys who are told they turned out gay cause they didn’t have a father growing up
shoutout to gay boys who feel they still have to try and be with girls to not disappoint their families
shoutout to gay boys who don’t have any other gay friends except for on the internet
shoutout to gay boys who just want to be understood
shoutout to gay boys who just want a boyfriend & not feel so alone
y’all are all so beautiful and courageous for just existing in a world that wasn’t made with us in mind. please remember you are important.
Especially now, I hope y’all feel safe. I hope y’all feel cherished. I hope y’all feel valid. I hope y’all feel loved. Society continues to fail us - many in measurably more ways than others. Please don’t ever let it destroy your pride.
