The Gift…

2 Corinthians 18-21 NLT
“And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.  For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.  So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”  For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.“

PALM SUNDAY…John 12:12-1812 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard

PALM SUNDAY…

John 12:12-18
12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! ” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”“Blessed is the king of Israel!” 14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: 15 “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” 16 At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him. 17 Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.

she-is-amused:

‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:1-18‬

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer. But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you. May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from all believers who live idle lives and don’t follow the tradition they received from us. For you know that you ought to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you. We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you. We certainly had the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to give you an example to follow. Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”

Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living. As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good.

Take note of those who refuse to obey what we say in this letter. Stay away from them so they will be ashamed. Don’t think of them as enemies, but warn them as you would a brother or sister. Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you His peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.

Here is my greeting in my own handwriting—Paul. I do this in all my letters to prove they are from me.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

James 1:19 (ESV)

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

John 15:10 (ESV)

On the day I called, You answered me; And You made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life.

Psalm 138:3 (AMP)

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, And all their host by the breath of His mouth.

Psalm 33:6 (AMP)

Psalm 33:5 (AMP)

And the LORD shall be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD shall be the only one [worshiped], and His name the only one.

Zechariah 14:9 (AMP)

The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 (AMP)

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Isaiah 40:8 (KJV)

Jesus Gives You Rest

…Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28, NLT

You don’t need to be a Bible scholar or theologian to understand rest. You just need to be someone who knows Jesus, because it is Jesus who gives you rest!

My friend, perhaps you’re dealing with a challenging physical condition in your body today. And if you are weary, confused and tired because of all your efforts to get healed, just go to Him right now and tell Him, “Jesus, I’m so tired and confused. I’m scared too. Please hold me in Your arms and give me rest.”

You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to. You can just cry in His presence. Beloved, He already knows all that you are going through. And the One who bottles your tears will surely rest you and give you peace. He will lift you up and strengthen you until you are full of His shalom-peace—inside and out!

Habakkuk 3:19 (AMP)

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Ephesians 3:18-19 (NLT)

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Ephesians 3:14-16 (NLT)
