-first meal of the trip and it was so good! the stuffed zucchini was mouth watering, I managed to sleep through the new year celebration due to a nasty case of jet lag.
- decided to go vegan at the start of 2020, wish me luck :)
Phoenix, Arizona
-stopping on my way to mexico, barely caught my connecting flight. started a new read on the plane ride, I will be sharing the title and author in my next post. So far the journey has been fairly easy, I feel like I may be catching a cold but other than that I’m excited to officially arrive at my final destination.
- my flight to mexico leaves in a few hours, I plan on taking a lot of pictures so stay tuned for that :)
-excited for the upcoming new year, fresh start, new ideas and new goals. Looking to expand my knowledge and gain enlightenment in the upcoming year. hopefully i will consistently track my journey thru tumblr and my other social media’s so I can look back on it.

I love having this book in my life. The Jewish book of Proverbs here happens to be full of some unexpectedly practical wisdom.
Even more, I love having these men (representing 5 cultures tonight) in my life to wrestle with it together. You could say we’re irreverent and ask too many questions, but I really think that’s how it was meant to be. Messy and personal, just like life.

When God Won’t Give me my Boaz
Have you ever prayed for God to work things out between you and a boy? I have, in fact just this week I asked God if He would tell a boy I liked that he should date me. Imagine my frustration after I prayed for three whole days, finally got the courage to send the boy a text, and then got left on read. Angrily, I told God: “God this boy would be perfect for me! He loves you, is involved in ministry, and is also taller than me! Why would you not work things out between us?!”. But here’s the thing: God loves us more than we could ever love ourselves, and He wants the very best for us. We see our imperfections and mistakes, and sometimes we have the mentality that anyone who goes to church, and has a relationship with God is the very best we can do. God sees us as His most treasured creation, and loves us more than we could ever fathom; When God withholds something from us, He is not doing it to be cruel, or because He thinks we aren’t enough, He is protecting us from anything less than the very best. A “no” from God is a reminder that He has greater things in store for us, and that our best is not His best.
Wow this is so convicting.

Since death came through a man, resurrection of the dead also comes through a man.—1 Cor. 15:21.
For a number of reasons, we can assume that those greeting resurrected individuals will be able to recognize their loved ones. For instance, based on resurrections that have already occurred, it seems that Jehovah will re-create people so that they look, speak, and think in the same way as they did shortly before they died. Remember that Jesus likened death to sleep and the resurrection to being awakened from sleep. (Matt. 9:18, 24; John 11:11-13) When people awaken from sleep, they look and sound the same as when they went to sleep, and they retain their memory. Consider the example of Lazarus. He had been dead for four days, so his body had begun to decay. Yet, when Jesus resurrected him, his sisters immediately recognized him, and Lazarus obviously remembered them.—John 11:38-44; 12:1, 2. w20.08 14 ¶3; 16 ¶8

Just picked up a lot of inspiration from the MASSIVE #Delacroix exhibit! Swipe through! He loved depicting wild scenes of crazed horses and ferocious lions and tigers. He wrote a letter to a friend that said to ‘come quick! For a lion has died at the zoo!’ And they wanted to draw one up close before it was hauled away. For someone who couldn’t photograph his wild subjects he sure nailed their likenesses in paint! When you face unexpected circumstances remember that the Lord is always with you.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for delivering grace and truth through Your Son, Jesus. Give us boldness and courage to speak the truth with love. Help us not be afraid to share Your Word and not to water down the gospel to suit others. Instead, help us to speak the truth with love, gentleness and respect and enable us to grow in every way into Christ.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for having called me to develop a relationship with You through Your precious Son, Jesus, and to serve You heartily. Help me live a life worthy of the calling to which You have called me.
