We saw the first hints of spring today, with a beautiful cascade of snowdrops flowing down to the river. With all the sadness and worry at the moment, they were definitely a very welcome sight and brought a smile to my face.

Positive fashion: inside the Maiyet Collective pop-up
Art, fashion and retail had a very cosy relationship last week. In particular, I discovered an ambitious London pop-up concept – with a difference. As the cashed-up art-fashion crowd descended on the city for Frieze Week, positive impact brand, Maiyet launched its monthly pop-up, Maiyet Collective in Conduit street.

It was one of his most romantic + elegant roles but also one of his grittiest — Eddie Redmayne as a World War I soldier in Birdsong, photographed in Hungary in 2011 by Kalpesh Lathigra.
This BBC two-parter, which aired in 2012 + still streams, is our personal favorite for the heartbreaking depth Eddie showed in love + war.
