Summary:On your 16th birthday you and your soulmate get similar tattoos that appear on your wrists. The closer you get to your soulmate the warmer the tattoos feel. You transfer back to UA and are extremely excited to see your childhood best friend Bakugou again. After hitting send you locked your phone and slid it into your jacket pocket as you slowly got up from your spot on the couch and made your way up to your best friend’s room.
“I’m not gonna cry, I’m not gonna cry, I’m not gonna cry.” You kept telling yourself as you slowly walked the small distance from the living room to Katsuki’s door.
You raised your hand up and knocked softly on the door vaguely aware of the tears that were streaming down your face.
“Who is it?” Your best friend yelled with a hint of irritation in his voice. You knew he was probably tired from the training you guys had done earlier, though he would never admit it.
The words were stuck in your throat. No matter how hard you tried to speak you couldn’t find your voice, so you knocked again a little harder this time.
“God damn it. Denki, I swear to god if you set the microwave on fire again, I’m going to…” He stopped talking as soon as his eyes met yours. “YN? What are you..” He took in your appearance and knew exactly what you needed.
Your eyes were bloodshot, and you were now fully aware of the tears that were streaming down your cheeks. Bakugou was quick to pull you into his room and away from any prying eyes. As soon as the door shut, and you were safe in the privacy of his room you collapsed into him.
His arms wrapped around your waist, holding you close to him as you sobbed into his chest, trying not to be too loud with your sobs. All the while your best friend rubbed your back trying to do anything to help you calm down.
“What happened?” He asked as he pulled you over to sit on his bed, getting you a glass of water before coming to sit next to you.
You still couldn’t find your words, so you reached into your pocket and handed him your phone, the texts open for him to read.
“I’m going to kill him.” He announced after he finished reading the texts.
He started to head for the door, but you couldn’t stand the thought of being alone right now, so you grabbed his hand and pleads with him to stay. “Not right now. Please.. please don’t leave me.” You sobbed as another round of tears made their way down your face.
Bakugou sighed before returning to your side, pulling you into his chest once again. He had never seen you like this; in all the years he’s known you. He absolutely hated seeing you like this and vowed to himself that he would never let anyone make you feel this way again.
It wasn’t long before you fell asleep in your best friends’ arms after exhausting yourself with all the tears. Bakugou looked down at you and could feel the anger bubbling in his veins. You were his best friend and to see you shattered and broken like this broke his heart. You were always bubbling with happiness and excitement, and he couldn’t remember the last time he had seen you so upset. He hated it with every fiber of his being.
He brushed a stray piece of hair away from your face as you cuddled closer to him. He knew he had promised you he wouldn’t leave you tonight, and he planned on keeping that promise, but he never said he wouldn’t threaten the asshole who made you feel like this.
