Couldn’t stop myself when I saw this pose on Pinterest. That’s where my mind’s instantly going… oh well
So I finally got around to making my own butterbeer, with a really witchy twist. I could never find a recipe that worked for me, as they all seemed to run off the idea that it tasted like butterscotch, which is never the vibe that I got. I always assumed it was rich, buttery and creamy, with a small alcoholic kick. I made it much more alcoholic.
For the spiced butter:
250g butter
250g brown sugar
1T cinnamon, ground (healing, protection, fire)
1t nutmeg, ground (clairvoyance, clarity, love)
1/2t ginger, ground (passion, immunity, healing)
1/4t clove, ground (luck, prosperity, protection)
- Cream butter, sugar and spices.
- Roll into a log and store wrapped in the fridge.
For the drink:
About 1cm of spiced butter log
About a shot of rum / bourbon / whiskey
A mug of milk
Whipped cream
- Slowly heat the milk on the stove, stirring clockwise and infusing your intentions into the liquid. I focused on warmth, happiness and protection.
- Do not boil the milk.
- Pop the spiced butter and alcohol of choice in the mug. Top with the very hot milk. Stir clockwise to continue to infuse your intentions or counter clockwise to banish.
- Top with whipped cream if desired. Enjoy.
I need to try this
You don’t get to do that JC
At Kings Cross Station they should sell pumkin juice and butterbeer - for all Muggels who never know about our Wizard-world. They have to taste the awesomeness :-D
Maybe they should sell Sweets from Hogsmead, too..
