I just noticed that Lucie is the only one looking to the right, while Cordelia and Grace are looking to the left, upon analyzing a bit I see it as her conception of the world and her openness to explore new things like: never looking back
I really like fictional couples that actually enjoy spending time with each other. It seems like such a simple, mundane thing. But, often, I see fictional couples who are completely enamored and dramatic and willing to die for each other, which isfine. But like… do they enjoy hanging out? Do they have private jokes and would they be friends even if they weren’t in love? It feels like such a basic thing, but it’s something that I actually don’t see that often. And it feels so refreshing and honest compared to these over-dramatic romeo and juliet-esque romances. Just two people who become good friends and becausethey enjoy each other’s presence so much it grows into a strong attraction. It feels more real and tangible than two attractive people meeting and “falling in love at first sight” - like, of course, you fell in love at first sight! You’re both supermodels! Sorry, can’t relate.

•CHAIN OF IRON SPOILERS•
Oh to be Cordelia Carstairs. Going on a last minute trip to Paris with her husband’s hot, rich parabatai
MILD CHAIN OF IRON SPOILER BELOW
can we all agree the William Owen Herondale’s most -him- moment is when he used THE MORTAL SWORD to ask Thomas if Gideon was aware he had to pay him back 20 Pounds
But tea is pronounced Cordelia @cassandraclare
Cordelia carstairs is the new love of my life
Cordelia in a very pale a frilly dress that she didn’t choose for herself and her parabatai Lucie
❤️Cordelia and James❤️
“They need a muse,” said Anna. “Someone to be inspired by. Someone to know their secrets. Would you like to be a muse?”
“No,” said Cordelia. “I would like to be a hero.”

Cordelia Carstairs based off cosplay
Just finished Cassandra Clare’s Chain of Gold and it was absolutely brilliant and also agonizing to read because she seems to have no regard for my personal feelings and attachments to the characters. This is Cordelia, James and Grace, all of whom I have a LOT of feelings about!

The Herondale line is indeed cursed in someway.
Hear me out: Every Herondale has to proof themselves worthy of the love they receive! Their love will be tested in blood and fire. They have to stand their ground against demons and social expectations (like Edmund), fighting death itself (like Lucie) and sometimes the worst enemy they have to fight are themselves. And some of the Herondales just have to learn basic communication skills (looking at you, my sweet Jamie!)
Some of them fail like Tobias and Stephen did and they suffer greatly for it. But some of the Herondales overcome all the hardships and hurdles and destiny rewards them with amazing everlasting love. Like it’s for Will and Jace.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk
Just to get it straight: Grace and Lucie are the reason why 80% of the shit that happens in TDA happened?
The song “So cold” by Ben Cocks and Nikisha Reyes-Pile sums up the last 30ish pages of “Chain of Iron” to perfection.
I’m so sad.
