Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Book ~ Ancient Egyptian profiles

First of all I apologise for the quality! As I mentioned before I don’t have a scanner so those photos were taken with my phone and camera.

Under the read more are the profiles from Ancient Egyptian section of Millennium Book. I’ve included Grandpa because his profile is for when he finds the Puzzle at age 43 – his food likes and dislikes are different to age 72 Grandpa as is his height and weight! So I thought that was kind of interesting.

Everyone has a full profile except Kisara who was only given a height and weight. I have also tentatively included kind of birthdays. This post does a wonderful job of explaining why we can’t ACTUALLY translate the Ancient Egyptian birthdays to the Gregorian calendar.

But I figured as everyone is going to do it anyway, I may as well include them so at least everyone’s on the same page, so to speak!

There are a couple of translation notes at the bottom and my Japanese is by no means infallible so if you find anything wrong, please let me know! Probably some of the names are wrong because I can never remember the official way of spelling them so please forgive me! (I come from a time before official romanization and I wish this book had included it!)

Citrine “Cy” Reference

Cy is a citrine who lives in the deep underbelly of Homeworld. Missing a leg since she emerged, she was unfit to fight for the empire and branded an “off-color”. Like her fellow banished gems, her living conditions made her grow bitter toward the empire, and she wanted nothing more than a better future for herself and her kin.

Update 1/21/22:

I’ve recently decided to move the pages primarily to tapas, where I do the rest of my comic-ing.

Chapter One is uploaded (with some edited dialogue). I’ll keep updating pages over here (as many as I can with the new image limit), and post character art and other posts, but I’ll post full comics/chapters over there.

Read Ouroboros from the start, HERE.

Kolivan appreciation photoset. because i appreciate and love him so damn much (he’s in my top 3 voltron faves, right up there with Keith and Shiro).

i’m dying to know more about him, how he became leader, and the BoM in general. all things considered he gets decent screentime but i’d love to see him a lot more!!

A beautiful photoset of Kolivan

Galra Crests/Hair Part 1 of ?

Row 1: Common for Corporals, Blatyz Servant, Corporals, Kerberos Lt.
Row 2: Ulaz, Zaiforge Ground Commander, Letch, Arena Galra
Row 3: Most Common Crest, Gnov, Sentry Facility Commander, Claw Guy
Row 4: Female Commander on Monitor, Arena Galra 2, Beta Traz Warden, No Crest

There are a lot of characters that share the same crest types with only tiny variations, so I chose one person to represent them all. It’s difficult to determine which are hair or something else, so crests will be lumped in with the hair series.

Row 1: Kolivan, Prorok, Sendak, Zethrid
Row 2: Sal, Arena Galra 2, Thace, Throk
Row 3: Varkon, Morvok, Haxus, Sendak’s New Lt
Row 4: Project Kuron Lt, Arena Galra 3, Ranveig

There are a lot of characters that share the same ear types with only tiny variations(such as Lotor and Acxa/almost every corporal), so I chose one person to represent them all. The focus is primarily on ears, so certain other features were left off including crests.

Returning from Long Absense

There were plans to move this somewhere else on January 1st, but there is really no reliable alternative right now that offers site stability and social network visibility. So GL is here to stay for a while.

With the series complete and nothing on the official horizon, it’s time to start making some headcanons based on the little info and details we were given. I’d be happy to share the ones I have so far. A few asks were sent asking my opinion on a couple topics and I was hoping these would have been expanded upon in S8. While they were not answered in canon, new little sprinkles of Galra culture and details were revealed. Some of the asks, like currency and holidays, I will have to think on before answering.

But feel free to send asks! Requests for references are welcome, but I am working on commissions, cosplay, zines and some other Galra related projects at the moment. Smaller requests like “pirate daggers” are easier to do than entire collections.

Fio is a cleric of Mother Malady, the goddess of illness, hospitality and the weak. They travel around, helping the weak and those who treat them kindly, but those who would forsake the rule of hospitality and mistreat them? Well, they may mysteriously find themself falling ill..

My way of the mercy monk for an upcoming campaign.
