While picking up Brier from work this morning, we came across a group of 4 sandhill cranes in a field. (One was further away from the group, so sadly, wasn’t included in the picture.)
Like, I knew they were big, but from 40-50 yards away I thought they were deer at first!

Harbor View Park is located about 37 km (23 mi) south of Tokyo, or a 58-minute train ride from Shibuya Station (Tokyo) on the Tokyu-Toyoko line.
There are several coin-parking lots near Harbor View Park, making it an easy park to visit if you drive. If visiting by train, you can easily access Harbor View Park via French Hill Park, which is only a 1-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station on the Minatomirai Line.

“Keep Climbing” Did you know that common cranes can fly 33,000 feet? So maybe you can make friends with one and hang out in the sky…if that’s your thing.
The leaves grow and it becomes more difficult to find the small birds. Ways out: look for big birds or find tree frogs! (And watch out for the crazy bugs;-))

Panjin Red Beach in China is not covered in sand at all. The redness is caused by a type of sea weed, Sueda. It starts growing during April and May, then stays green during the summer, but starts turning vividly red in autumn.
The Red Beach is located in the biggest wetland and reed marsh in the world, and actually hosts the most completed ecosystem that can be found: the area has become home to more than 260 kinds of birds and 399 kinds of wild animals. You can find the endangered Crown Cranes and Black Beaked Gulls there, which is why the area is even called home of the cranes. (Source)
