William Blake’s Ancient of Days illuminating St Paul’s cathedral - it’s worth getting chucked out of the Tate Modern’s top floor for (“Private event” my anglo-persian tush…)
Blake suffered a lot from depression, fell out with a lot of people and probably never had the recognition he deserved. He was buried in an unmarked grave. This was his final work, it’s on for four nights from 16:30 onwards.

Remember that time we were on a boat?
Living in the moment is important to me, so I didn’t take many shots… however, @girlwhocan was an absolute legend and captured what is probably now my favourite boomerang.
So have some blurry screenshots of boomerangs, messy videos and beautiful people… it’s all a perfect representation of this fucking mental yet surreally peaceful night.

I feel blessed in the fact that I’ve grown and been able to push through my battles, despite people trying to pull me down, I keep coming out stronger every time. ‘Hope For The Underrated Youth’ reminded me of a 16-year-old version of myself who hadn’t learnt how to do that yet. The message in his lyrics inspires hope and motivation to be true to yourself and that we can truly change anything, if we fight hard enough and work together, we are all capable of having an impact on the world. So many people already do and don’t even realise it.
Just through @yungblud ’s quirky little events alone, I’ve met some of the most incredible people and built wholesome friendships that mean the world to me and I can’t imagine life without.

So, back to the boat… @girlwhocan pulled out her sharpie at the end of the night to get a little somethin’ something written by Dom; in the chaos of frantic signing that thereafter occurred, he scribbled his signature on my arm. I made a joke about tattooing it, the following day my tattoo artist @solidtattoos was doing some bands on my wrist and said we should just do it. We did it.

Tout commence par quelques bières, peu importe l'heure. C'est réunion sur le Minesweeper, comme tous les lundis, et quand Andrew demande à Camden si la barque est réparée pour aller chercher de l'essence à Tower Bridge par la Tamise, celui-ci acquiesce dans son style laconique.
C'est mardi midi, on a rendez-vous, et en attendant la marée en retard, on boit quelques bières. Les canards cancanent et les cygnes pavanent, la gueule de bois s'adoucit aux lueurs du malt. Enfin sur la barque, on sort doucement de Deptford Creek : la Tamise s'ouvre et s'élargit. À droite c'est Greenwich et les trois mâts de Cutty Sark, au loin à gauche c'est l'abominable City. Le fleuve est plus large que vue des rives où les riverains s'amusent de notre barquerolle. On trotte et c'est tranquille, tu prends quelques photos en souvenir. Isle of Dog à droite, à gauche « Odessa » où squattent Alex et Freddy, quelques entrepôts, de hauts immeubles et des maisons assez jolies.
La Tamise est blonde comme la bière qui coule dans nos gorges, et dans le sens de la marée nous trottinons toujours vers London Bridge.
Nous fumons sous le soleil et le moteur fume aussi qu'Andrew refroidit avec l'eau de la Tamise. Il fait beau, chaud, et la promenade est tranquille.
Mais au climax paisible, voilà que le moteur s'enraille.
D'un coup c'est le silence des profondeurs.
Tu ris mais à la tête d'Andrew et de Camden, tu devines que tu ne verras jamais Tower Bridge.
C'est la dérive.
À la nage, peut-être, si la bière du fleuve te fait flotter, tu rejoindras un jour la rive. Le soleil tape, et tu te dis qu'ils sont bien tristes les naufragés du Pacifique.
Cher Andrew, tu avais pensé à tout : quelques rames n'étaient pas superflues sur le radeau. Et nous voilà ramant errant sur la Tamise.
Mais les grèves et les bites, une à une, nous échappent, les bateaux-express passent, on remue, puis on ouvre une autre bière car la nôtre est finie.
Un vague désespoir t'envahit.
Mais la police vînt.
La police, même pas la Royal Navy… Ils sont bien propres ces marins d'eau douce, les cheveux ras, les gilets propres, et pas une dent qui manque dans leur sourire. Tu lorgnes leur bateau étincelant. « Un problème ? » Bien vu, Sherlock, tu nous ramènent à Deptford Creek ? « On vous dépose à Limehouse Marina. » Et nous voilà remorqués à contre-sens par la police… qu'est-ce qu'on ne doit pas faire dans une vie…
Petit contrôle d'usage et bye bye. Pas méchants les flics. La marée est encore haute, on a une chance de repartir, alors on descend sur Narrow Street acheter des bières et du cidre. Camden propose : « On profite de la marée basse et on rame jusqu'à Deptford Creek ! » Avec Andrew, on se regarde sceptiques. « What’s wrong with you ? » Ce n'est pas Andrew qui le dit, mais Camden devant notre air dubitatif ! Prends une bière and take it easy. Mais, côté absurde, c'est de pire en pire : au bureau de la marina, on nous regarde encore plus sceptiques : « Qui peut-on contacter pour nous remorquer ? », « Mmm… alors là, désolé mais je ne vois vraiment pas… », c'est le responsable du port qui parle… Le monde entier est ivre. Alors on s'arrête et on se met réfléchit. Le temps coule tranquille comme la bière le long de la Tamise.
Et c'est Kevin qu'on appelle.
Et en attendant Kevin, on roule des clopes et on boit des canettes.
Après une ou deux heures, Kevin débarque sur Anthus, son destrier blanc, en compagnie d'Alex et Freddy. Il n'est pas content, et les nuages sont gris. Mais on repart, chacun sur sa barque et Andrew, pour fêter cela, trinque avec moi.
C'est la Tamise à l'envers, le fleuve à rebours jusqu'à la crique. Il fait beau, il fait chaud, on en profite. Sur le pont du Minesweeper, pour se remettre de notre Odyssée, on s'offre du vin et des bières…
