A piece I’ve done for a college exam. We got to choose a school of art and make a piece inspired by it (drawing, painting, sculpture, whatever). So I decided to make this digital painting inspired on Dali’s surrealism, not by his painting techniques but because he used to paint his dreams, fears, desires and stuff, so I tried to do the same thing.
Also, he had his “tutorials” on how to be creative by interrupting his sleep and “wake up inspired”. I don’t interrupt any of my sleep because I have a dream issue (I like them a lot and don’t wanna miss any of it) and I’m terrible at taking little naps, but I feel a lot more creative just right after I wake up. Like, wake up, take my pill, drink something, and start drawing. So inspired by that, this piece not only represents some of my dreams and pleasures and desires, but was actually mostly done within 3 mornings right when I woke up.
I could explain the elements it contains, but I believe that - unless you are curious and ask for it - the meaning of a piece belongs more to the spectator than to the artist after its released to the world!

There are times you mentally take her to a breaking point with your wants and desires. And you already know that she will do whatever it is that you desire. But there are other times, when she looks at you with so much love and desire, it can bring you to your knees. You wonder how it could be that you are so fortunate to have this woman in your life. Hold these moments close and guard them they are what you have created.Be proud. Because for whatever you do whomever you are, these smoldering love filled looks are for you. There is time enough in your life for you to fulfill her desires and accommodate her lust for you as well.

-a cloudless night to stargaze, even though I’m in the city

-$200 to thrift shop with
-time and money to drive to Canada for poutine fries
-being embraced by someone who is truly in love with me
-holding hands and kissing in public
-playing putt putt and eating ice cream for an entire day.
-waking up at noon next to my ravenous partner. And having nothing to do but each other.
-a warm night to lay in a hammock and read web comics and fan fiction.
-financial stability
-a week to binge all of the anime I should have watched already.
-a non-alcoholic drink so refreshing that I feel like I have sipped happiness.
-happiness.

desires mount to fruitless acceptance
your being alone begins the slow defeat
allowing the reality you have been
born into take your unique purpose
we try to impose our future within
a circular reach, stammering in angers
deceptive character twisted cunning
ideas brew a nasty taste when others
assume your words are unworthy
what is endings purpose as
you seek always a revenge
of the innocent that have no
claims to your physical space
you understand only abbreviations
of words losing significance,
madness is nothing but the
manipulating ego unfocused
creating deceptions of willful conceit,
broadcasting outward in a mind
without morals, motivated by
lazy denials distracting us from our
inner truth, perceptions of our false
beliefs form a waiting line to be heard
in the propaganda machine that
exploits our motivation with lies
of ones abilities, false fragments
of our existence once moving forward
now captured in someone else’s guilty,
focused exploitation of ones inner truth,
interaction with others now seen as
a personal attack in demanding moments
of ultimate inadequacy, the hidden
artifacts of a lost soul going nowhere
El protagonista de este look es la biker de Desires que me regaló Josunedesamivida, y hoy quiero aprovechar la ocasión para compartir con vosotros esta historia:)
Nos conocimos a través del blog y, aunque nadie diría que a través de este medio se pueden llegar a formar amistades, lo cierto es que con el paso del tiempo fuimos descubriendo una afinidad basada en gustos e intereses comunes, y posteriormente en una conexión especial por compartir los mismos retos e ilusiones a la hora de abrirnos camino en el mundo blogging. Finalmente pudimos conocernos personalmente en Madrid durante la inauguración de la tienda de Anine Bing en esta ciudad. Es de esas amistades que traen cosas positivas a nuestras vidas.
Josune, gracias por tu amistad y por acercarme a esta marca danesa de la que me gusta absolutamente todo, pero sobre todo destaco la calidad de los materiales y la originalidad en el diseño.
En este caso la biker de Desires la he combinado con un vestido de punto sencillo y unas sneakers de Leztinstreet. El bolso es de Calas Bcn, una marca Made In Barcelona de la que en breve os daré más detalles.
