Romantic love is an illusion. Most of us discover this truth at the end of a love affair or else when the sweet emotions of love lead us into marriage and then turn down their flames.
I think most people, including myself most of the time, have already forgotten the situation we are right now. Like as in Europe everything is getting better we think the problem is solved everywhere, but then reality comes back and you realized that it is not that simple.

This often crosses my mind, that people feel the way that you do. I’ve been nothing but a promoter of my/black history, in ballet, diversifying it and bringing it to a broader audience. I’ve been putting in the work, by me mentoring and being mentored by our black sisters, for over two decades. I know that it’s natural and easy to see my success as immediate and one sided. My mission and purpose is and will always be, to be a vessel, and to use my voice, reach and platform, to educate and share our history. I never dreamt, imagined or wanted this outcome for me. But all I can do is use it to voice my experiences and those of others who have shared there’s with me. I’m proud of my history and I stand on their shoulders. I’m blessed and grateful every day to have the opportunities that I do. I have a one black woman team behind me. No machine. And we’ve built this on our own. And I’m so so very proud of that. Though I understand that it may seem like the opposite from the outside. But I was given that push in the beginning and still do, from the black media. Who will always be at the forefront of every project I’m a part of, no matter how big or small. Because of the respect, heart and dedication of my incredible one woman goddess @gnsquire ❤️ We’re all queens on this journey together.
