Idea: McCoy es un gran doctor, incluso en el universo del Mirror, pero a menudo se ve eclipsado por Spock. Su trabajo nunca está recompensado, y todos piensan que es inútil (es un trabajo que no exige capacidades físicas. La fuerza física en el universo del Mirror es esencial). Spock le obliga a hacer entrenamiento, pero es muy duro con él y lo sobreexplota. McCoy llega a pensar que ser doctor no sirve de mucho en este universo, hasta que salva a Spock de la muerte con sus habilidades médicas y su pericia. A partir de ahí descubre cómo poner cualquier situación peligrosa en su favor en vez de usar la fuerza bruta, y Spock se lo agradece.
Idea: McCoy is a great doctor, even in the Mirror universe, but he is often overshadowed by Spock. His work is never rewarded, and everyone thinks he’s useless (it’s a job that doesn’t require physical abilities. Physical strength in the Mirror universe is essential). Spock forces him to do training, but is very hard on him and over-exploits him. McCoy comes to think that being a doctor is of little use in this universe, until he saves Spock from death with his medical skills and expertise. From there he discovers how to turn any dangerous situation to his advantage instead of using brute force, and Spock thanks him for it.

Últimamente me apetece mucho dibujar, pero no tengo tiempo. Hoy he decidido tomarme un rato de relax practicando a dibujar en digital con el ordenador (no he usado tableta, he usado ratón y ese relax me ha desaparecido en seguida, en serio, cómo lo hace la gente para dibujar bien con ratón)
Lately I really want to draw, but I don’t have time. Today I decided to take some time to relax and practice drawing digitally with the computer (I didn’t use a tablet, I used a mouse and that relaxation disappeared immediately, seriously, how do people manage to draw well with a mouse?)

McCoy se da cuenta de que hay dos Spock en la nave, y uno de ellos es el del Imperio Terrano. Recuerda perfectamente el día en que fue transportado por error al otro universo, y también su experiencia con el otro Spock.
McCoy realises that there are two Spocks on the ship, and one of them is from the Terran Empire. He remembers vividly the day he was transported by mistake to the other universe, and also his experience with the other Spock.
Es misterioso, siniestro, impredecible. ¿Qué querrá hacerle? Sabe que no puede oponer resistencia, esperemos que la suerte esté de su lado.
He is mysterious, sinister, unpredictable. What will he want to do to him? He knows he can’t resist, so let’s hope luck is on his side.
I think McCoy is embarrassed to show his affection at first. He doesn’t know if Spock will take a hug, a touch or a kiss. He knows that Spock has been raised as a Vulcan and not as a human, and he’s not sure if he’ll like that sort of thing. He’s also a little embarrassed to question, and asks permission every time he wants to hug him or do any of those things. He knows about romantic relationships, since he had been in several ones, that is to say, he has the experience, but he doesn’t know how to use it with Spock.
The Vulcan knows that Bones must be given his private space, and he verifies it when he sees that even when they are together, the doctor does nothing. And although Spock would like to casual touch him more often, he stops doing so, which makes McCoy insecure.

Once they have been together for a while, they decide to talk about it and discover that they both want to show their affection, but thought the other didn’t want to. Little by little they start to hold each other in their arms, caress each other’s shoulders, hair, face… all this in private. And they trust each other more to talk about all their insecurities in the relationship.

As their love grows, McCoy becomes more affectionate, he treats Spock especially well and Spock appreciates it. They dare to do more things, like sleeping at night together. But they don’t tell anyone, they are both introverted people and don’t feel comfortable showing it to more people. McCoy, when he’s in need of affection, lets Spock hold him, play with his hair, all with gentleness. And when it’s the other way around, Bones floods the Vulcan with kisses.

Who is the big spoon? I think they take turns, but I wouldn’t know who is more dominant. There would be several reasons to think it’s Spock (in many fics it’s him), but I think it would be pretty evenly matched. On the one hand, I think it’s McCoy because he has the most experience, but on the other hand, I imagine him asking Spock to be the dominant, so that’s why I say there’s a balance. Maybe, after a while, there will be one of the two who is a bit more dominant, and then I think it could be Spock.

Mi impresora es daltónica , no distingue los tonos de azul que hay en el dibujo…
My printer is colorblind , it can’t distinguish the shades of blue that are on the drawing…
Obviamente, no es lo mismo color luz (en lo que de basa el dibujo digital) que el color pigmento (en papel). Sé que hay muchos programas que tienen implementado el color pigmento en su programa para imprimir los dibujos, pero en el programa que uso en el móvil no tiene. No sé si es por eso que no capta los colores o directamente es la impresora
Obviously, light colour (on which digital drawing is based) is not the same as pigment colour (on paper). I know that there are many programs that have in their system implemented the pigment colour to print the drawings, but the program I use on my mobile doesn’t. I don’t know if that’s why it doesn’t capture the colours or if it’s only my printer .
Quería un dibujo para mi carpeta de clase y se me ocurrió hacer este (por una vez que necesito algo en papel, voy y lo hago en digital ). Creo que lo imprimiré a ver cómo queda.
I wanted a drawing for my class folder and I came up with this one (for once I need something on paper, I do it digitally ). I think I’ll print it out and see how it looks.

Approximately one year ago I googled, “why does Doctor McCoy wear a pinky ring on Star Trek” and happened to discover a very charming passage about the pinky ring from Terry Lee’s biography on Deforst Kelley “From Sawdust to Stardust”.
Since then, I’ve bought the biography and found myself completed enamored with the life of this sweet man, and with every tidbit I continue to learn about him makes me love him (and his iconic Star Trek role) even more.
