Absolutely love Duncan’s character, right up there with Gurney. It took me awhile to figure out the direction I wanted to go with his design and I feel happy with this. Would like to eventually do Hayt at some point too.
“Duncan Idaho”. Picked these up from the Dune show a bit ago, getting around to scanning and editing the series. I’ll be doing a giveaway of some of the drawings when I’m done.
Villeneuve’s Dune was visually impresive. Here are two sketches from the movie. The landscape is simply watercolors but the second one is mostly ink oxidized with bleach (with a touch of watercolors and some gouache splashing).

Some time ago I was complaining to a friend, that in a half of the scenes Paul’s hair looks great and in the other half it’s a mess, and I was told that you never know with curly hair how would it look. And something about curly hair living their own life.
Shortly beforehand we were discussing Paul with tentacles.
