#Hospitalglam: I had an echocardiogram this morning, at the big LA hospital I go to which feels like my home because I’m always there and almost everybody is so great with me. The receptionist checking me in said I had a great aura, and raved about my @marinafinionme earrings. I smiled and was happy when the tech called me in a few moments later. She was warm and we talked easily about patient agency and how hard it was to be seen; as a chronic patient, as a woman. She told me how much she felt it was an exchange of information and energy- that she learned from her patients- and that she was so happy to be there with me, as she moved an instrument over my heart to chart its rhythm. It’s hard to be disabled and navigate the medical system, especially in the US, but I am so grateful for the time I get to spend with caregivers like the one I had today, where I barely noticed the procedure due to the amazing connection I had. In this photo, I was not paying attention to the photo over the conversation I was having. Finally got an echo. If you’re a stats nerd, here are a few (more details on request, full echo report not done yet): LV mass 338.9g, LV diastolic 57.1mm, RV diastolic 50.5mm, cardiac output 12.162L/min, ejection fraction 82.27%. My heart is massive lol. The chordae are visible in the 4 chamber views which is pretty nuts. The doctor kept calling my heart ‘photogenic’.
Would love to hear anyone’s interpretation. I will not consider it formal medical advice, as always.
I love when he says “and there is Stephanie’s heart.” If he had said “and there is her heart,” it would not have been as sexy and hot. Stephanie’s heart…I love how that sounds. And how erotic is it when he digs that probe into her skin for the subxiphoid view of her heart? Seeing her whole heart pumping like that is beyond amazing. If I ever met a cardiophile named Stephanie, I would love to say “Stephanie, may I ultrasound your heart now?”
Seeing her heart pumping is amazing. The doc, while squeezing her fist to mimic her heart, says “see how it’s got that really nice squeeze”– so hot. And When Megyn says “oooo, my heart is pumping”–soooo hot.
I have always fantasized about doing something really good for someone, or saving their life, after which they say “anything you want, just name it.” I would respond “how ’bout an echocardiogram machine?” I would post here “who wants an echo!!??”
This is one of my favorite videos. Too bad it’s only 10 seconds. Her heart is pumping so clearly. The probe is at a such a great position to see her whole heart pumping and squeezing. I love the out-of-breath look on her face. Ugh, to be the one holding that probe…. I need an echo, I need an echo, now! now! now!
He’s pressing deeply into her carotid while stething her mitral–OMG!! I like how, in the first echo pic, she is watching her heart pumping. Sadly, in the second pic, the woman can’t see her heart pumping–I mean, WTF dude, let her watch. I love her smile though. Perhaps she’s imagining how hard and fast it’s thumping, and loving the probe being pressed to her skin. Please, oh please, someday let me give a woman an echo. Please, oh please, someday let a woman give me an echo.
Where can I receive an echo that makes my heart look so very scrumptious like that? I love watching the heart dance like that. Seeing the entirety of the heart pumping with such force and strength is wonderful. That apex must be slamming against the chest wall. Me need echo NOW!
I messed around with the settings more. Also, I was spraying salt water on me, rather than using aloe vera gel. I did this right after my workout, so my heart was still pumping good.
I messed around with the settings a little. The image is better. Positioning the probe is what I have to master. The aloe vera works great, but I may suck it up and buy some actual ultrasound gel. I hope my heart looks good to you thus far. Enjoy….
This is my first time using this thing. I have no idea what I’m doing.There are ways to tweak the image, but I haven’t read the directions yet. I ripped it out of the box, plugged it in, and went to town. I needed to see my heart IMMEDIATELY!

I loved her fast-pumping heart and heavy breathing. She was struggling to hold on, while he was holding the probe so very tenderly and lightly to her skin. I love how such light contact with the skin shows such a great image of her pounding heart. I wish I was holding that probe. Her glossy cheek is pretty hot; so is when she looks down at herself to see (1) herself holding the steth to her chest, (2) herself breathing, and (3) him holding the probe. What a great video – electrodes, bp cuff, steth, and echo.

To perform this on a woman, or for her to perform it on me–both preferably–would be the ultimate cardiophile dream. Of course, the echo would also consist of a stress echo. How erotic is it to actually see the heart as it is pounding furiously??? I so love seeing the probe being held to, and moving around, the chest. I could watch her heart pumping all day. This is SO hot!
