Saying that transgender men can identify as lesbians but cis men cannot reinforces the idea that trans men aren’t really men. That they’re some sort of subcategory of a man and that they’ll never be man enough. It’s just fucking transphobic. They’re men. Straight men. Not lesbians.

queerautism:

Since the silly transphobic polls are happening atm and just asked if men can get pregnant, here’s a local story I really love to remind you that yes, men do give birth, and they deserve the best of care. It’s happening no matter what a few loud twitter transphobes are saying, we are out there thriving and creating wonderful families. A vast majority of the responses were extremely positive too <3

Transgender is an umbrella term covering all gender identities or expressions that transgress or transcend society’s rules and concepts of gender. To be trans usually means to identify as a gender other than the gender one was assigned at birth. The category of transgender includes people who have the binary gender identities of female (transgender women) or male (transgender men). The transgender umbrella includes people with nonbinary gender identities. However, some nonbinary people don’t call themselves transgender.

Transfeminine is a term used to describe transgender people who were assigned male at birth, but identify with femininity to a greater extent than with masculinity. They could be either trans women or nonbinary. The “opposite” goes for Transmasculine.

(I honestly don’t know why this one’s the transmasc and the other one’s the transfem instead of the other way around, it looks like they should be that way, but they’re not).

Alright, my fellow humans with uteruses, lemme tell ya a secret.

Menstrual cups. They are the key to never paying another godsdamn dime on pads/tampons,etc. Ya buy one, sure, it’s a bit of an investment (around 30-40 bucks) but then… you don’t have to buy any more. Ever. Unless something happens to yours/you have a kid and need a bigger one now.

And they are wonderful for the enviroment b/c you never have to throw anythin away, ya don’t have to worry about plastic wrappers/waste, so on and so forth. They can stay in a full twelve hours without risk of TSS, and they DON"T LEAK. So no need to worry about unfortunate occurrences from unexpected changes in flow.

It’s been perhaps the best thing for my monthly dysphoria ever.

Got called sir for the first time at today by someone who wasn’t just an old lady with cataracts. ADDITIONALLY the customer after them called me sir TOO. Funken serotonin.

Currently sobbing over the fact that no matter how hard i try my family is only ever going to see me as their little girl

11-13-20 // happy to be back on t

here’s an update pic as I will be going back on t — this time on gel. i’m so eager for my doc to fill this prescription. feeling immensely thankful and privileged to have health insurance.

i am praying that this week brings change to this country. thinking of all the lives lost. praying for those who are now homeless, without medications, food, family, safety…

today is heavy but i’m trying to stay hopeful.
