I know Elena is also meeting in the parks this summer. Not sure where or which ones besides WDW (cast member told me).
2016 was not the greatest year, to say the least. But if there’s something I’m grateful for, it’s these two beautiful, strong, brown princesses, who taught us that this is our time to find our way, to be independent and to give it all for our loved ones. Thank you Disney, for Elena and Moana, and may 2017 bring on more awesome WOC characters! ❤️

Elena of Avalor is great, its art direction is super engaging and character designs are really cool. I tried to get a bit of a peaceful tone here. Late nights in the castle…
Disney just unveiled their first Latina princess–sort of. The team wanted to create a “universal story” but frame it through “culture and traditions that are familiar to the worldwide population of Hispanic and Latino families.” But if we don’t know exactly what culture is inspiring Disney movies and TV, that means we are just reaping the benefits of a culture’s visual language and traditions without giving due credit to origins.
I know people have tried this concept before, of them being magical girls, but I wanted to be a bit more specific. I wanted to see all the princesses from the Precure/Pretty Cure season I felt they would best fit in. Didn’t want to go too into it because I have other projects in the works, so I admit these are just traces with some edits here and there to fit them. Color was picked from their official art.

But reading @blueflyingturtleontheway story reminded me of these negotiation hcs that I’m pretty sure I haven’t posted, so here they are.
I imagine in the Shuriki days when Paraíso vs Avalor rivalry was still intact, Esteban and Dona would go into trade deals like.
Though dealing with Paraíso was infinitely easier than negotiating with a younger King Hector when he first got the full power of being king.
Esteban: Ugh what could be worse than trade deals with Paraiso?
(Several large golden boats come to the dock with Hector yelling out of a bullhorn).
Doña: I thought it’d be good to get the nightmares done in one day.
They may or may not have had a few drinks before going into negotiations with Hector. It was the only thing that made the talks bearable and even a little funny.
And the while, there was Shuriki looming over head like a classic telenovela villain with ridiculous requests and demands for Esteban like getting a surplus of diamonds from this country, more benefits from a treaty than the other person etc. Of course, she’d never lifted a finger to do it herself because

Seriously people does no one else ships Elena and Gabe anymore, Seeing him after what felt like months made me really happy, but it was all Elena and Mateo… I feel really sad for poor Gabe, i miss him too much., I miss Gabelena… Am I the only one who still ships them…
So I’m in India and I’m obsessed with EOA, I know this episode is all about matena, which I’m not a huge fan of… I can only watch it two or three days later, or may be even a week or two, pls can anyone tell me if Gabe appears in this episode, or can anyone pls share the plot, or gifs, it would be really helpful!!!
