Welcome back! (Speaking to myself more than anyone else)
These months have been crazy and I could possibly do a massive post on what happened but I want to share a prayer I had yesterday.
The Lord is good.
I have basically been warped in my own world and constantly worrying about where I am going to live, where am I going to work and who I am going to marry and I just prayed to have an open mind and see what other people are doing and what their life/history is like and I’ve been given
1. A logic puzzle book which I never had
2. A walk home before Gipsy Hill to Crystal Palace because I didn’t know the way without a map/phone
3. Inspiration of brothers and sisters to pray for
4. Mini glutinous rice ball instead of the normal sized ones
5. A sermon that made me think of what makes me motivated wake up in the morning at 5am because life is exciting (or meant to be in my case) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IcQzaBQvW1c
And it all happened on the morning I prayed for it. I think that’s cool that God answers prayers so soon.
Definitely getting stagnant fever from not being able to go to the studio because of my foot injury. But, you do what you gotta! sooooo thankful that I can even feel/use my legs, so. ❤️

Believe in yourself. Another moment of calm, clarity and contentment, this time in Cape Town. I spent six weeks in JoBurg for work with @afropunk and enjoyed a few days in the Mother City (how apropos) to reflect on the New Year, spend some quality alone time, and count my blessings. One of my intentions for 2019 was to practice self care and create more balance in my life. I need to do better. This moment is a beautiful reminder to continue to manifest that vision. God has beautiful plans for your future but you’ll never get there if you keep looking at the past.
I have times when I feel very lonely and depressed. I’m only human and sometimes my emotions take control over my life. When I start to feel that way I usually move away from God. And then I feel even more depressed and lonely. Satan wants us to feel that way. He wants to separate us from God’s peace but God is bigger. When you struggle with doubt don’t move away from God but come closer to him. Tell him about it. God is bigger than our doubt and our bad thoughts about ourselves. He knows our pain and our dreams. He is the supernatural God, he knows everything that’s in your heart. Don’t let emotions control your life. Open your Bible, speak to him and worship. He cares about you. He loves you.

This season of my life I have truly seen Gods Great Grace. Every time I deserved less, but God did exceeding above what I could ask, think, or imagine. Jesus my praise is inadequate to describe the breadth of your goodness. You have proven your faithfulness time and time and time again. As I prepare to marry my best friend in just 10 days you have done it again. It wouldn’t even be possible if you didn’t love me so much. Where there was lack you provided. Where there was doubt you brought peace. Where there was fear you gave me love. Father I praise you in advance for the wonderful life I have ahead… as I set out on a adventure to explore new depths of your heart for me. You will always be my first love…there is no meaning outside of you.

Happy 4th my lovelies! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here. Ever since I began school my life has been a whirlwind of busyness. But I was laying here and I was overwhelmed with the desire to say Thank You. Thank you Father for this wonderful life that you have blessed me with. Thank for the joy and the struggle because they all have brought me here. To be a woman who can honestly say I know God. You have revealed yourself to me. Showing me your incredible loving kindness. For the past few months this is something I’ve had to remind myself of every single day…. especially with so many unknown variables in my life. I mean how can I be sure of which way to go when I don’t even know the destination? And so I cling to the one who does. I’ve had to remind myself to take it one day at time…to trust that that my Father is guiding me even in the littlest details. That although the way ahead is unclear my God lives above the clouds. He has never left me …nor will he ever…and the depths of his love I will never reach. Psalm 139 says “O LORD, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar.” So I guess in the end it doesn’t matter so much where I’m going or how I’m getting there so long as he is with me. Lord help me to enjoy every day of this journey. In Jesus name amen.

After being a Christian for awhile I can say one of my greatest temptations is to settle for what’s good …when it comes to my relationship with God and spending time with him …In the last few years I’ve pretty much mastered my daily habit of reading my bible, listening to at least 1 sermon, and praying throughout my day. Which is fine …but with it comes the temptation to settle and never pursue God more because what we have is already so good….Yet even with good my soul cries out for more….God this year I want more than good. Help me to break the mold of my routine, I want to know more of you, see more of you, feel more of you, I want real life encounters with you Daddy. Thank you for your relentless pursuit of my heart. Why is this so hard to do sometimes?…I constantly have to remind myself that God is for me and that he is for His children. That I pray because I believe in the one who loves me perfectly and I trust him to always do what is best for me. If God gave us his everything with the death of his Son …how light my earthly troubles must seem to him.

Everyday I get to wake up with new mercies that my Father has prepared for me specifically for today….that means if I didn’t tap into ones from yesterday …its not too late because today is a new day …but that also means I can’t ride out the day on yesterday’s mercy….having to receive daily from our Father is a humbling experience… it helps us to keep our perspective on Him…For it is only through him that we can even do anything…but I also think our Father designed it this way because He loves his children…He could have said my mercies are new every week but he enjoys the closeness of the ones He loves …so come boldly before His throne that you may receive grace in your time of need.
