I don’t remember if I ever re-shared this illustration since I finished it more than 2 years ago, maybe because I had a hard time with it.
The thing is that after finishing it and after lots of hours of work (as you can guess by the level of detail), I experimented a bit on it and ruined the original piece (maybe some of you remember back then the stories when I messed it up, I almost cried ). I still have it in a binder but it seems unfixable and in no way suitable for selling or having it in an exhibition. So I worked a lot on it, it was one of my best pieces so far, and completly ruined the illustration.
It happens, sometimes you throw away days of work because of an accident or bad time experimentation. Part of the job…
That’s why staring at it gives me a bittersweet taste.
At least I was smart enough to scan the piece before doing the stupid experiment, so even if I never get to sell the original, at least I can make prints and get with them a bit of the time and work earned back.
Even if the original will never be available, you have prints of this illustration in my shop! And not regular prints, since the prints of this piece are limited and all of them have hand-drawn golden ink embellishments added. So each print is unique, and they come with a card with the short tale I wrote for this illustration!
