CHAPTER XXIX

A Kili X OC fanfic

Previous chapter // Next chapter

Tw:More Thorin and Raewyn banter. Sudden angst (hold on to your seatbelts. It’s gonna be a ride from this chapter on). Raewyn kicks Kili. Bilbo and Raewyn being besties because we need some happiness to keep the energy up. Descriptions of exhaustion because of walking + description of being out of breath because of a fall. I like time skips for the spice. Not that heavy yet.

As some of you may or may not know; I am in a serious writing slump. I halted my whole celebration and everything. I haven’t written anything for this series for two entire weeks straight, so it took some time getting back into the story. Updates will therefore still be slow, but I try to post new chapter every Sunday 19:00 CET. For now; enjoy the chapter and don’t forget to let me know what you think of it!

——————————————————————————

When the dwarves have very little screen time in tbotfa so you have to write you own scenes while you are in a writing slump

If the mountains of gold did not appear overwhelming from a distance, they definitely did up close. Having ignored Thorin’s shouts and protests, Raewyn had marched up to the treasure hoard, ready to grab enough valuables for Laketown to rebuild. Yet, unlike she had suspected, no one had come to stop her yet. The king was so caught up in his own mind that he could not find the strength nor the urge to stop the Asha, even though he had been completely and utterly obsessed with the gems and gold.

Picking the purest of jewels from the piles, Raewyn stuffed them in her pockets, not wasting her time on mere golden coins. She knew exactly what was more valuable, and which could remain in the halls forever.

Silent curses spilled from her mouth as she tried to push Thorin’s delusional face from her mind. She was aware that it was only a matter of time before he would confront her again, but she would make sure the men on the other side of the gates held their share of the treasure.

The gold beneath her feet fell with every movement, and the clinking of it was heard throughout the otherwise quiet mountain. Never had treasure looked so sickening, or sounded so foreign, and she nearly grew scared at the daunting amount of jewels. Pushing herself through it, she reached down to pick up another necklace, inspecting the emeralds decorating the chain, before stuffing it with the rest of her share.

A loud clinking was heard from behind her, but this was much further than her feet were. The ranger froze at the sound for a short moment, staring at the coins below her as she tried to identify the footsteps.

When a louder clinking was heard again, it was obvious to her that the person wanted to make themselves known. And with that thought, it did not take long for her to figure out who it was.

“Did he send you?” She asked aloud, picking up a ring from a small treasure chest.

A sharp silence was heard after her question, and she knew the presence had halted his movement.

“Yes.” Sounded a remorseful reply.

Raewyn hummed at the answer, twirling the ring between her fingers. When no other words were spoken, she put the ring in her pouch, turning around to face the prince.

“What will you do?” She questioned, having dropped her hands from the treasure.

Kili only stared at her from the golden stairs, a new sword hung over his hips, though his hand made no move to reach for it. He was clad in heavy dwarven armor, letting Raewyn know that Thorin was indeed preparing for war.

“I do not want to choose.” He confessed through a whisper, looking behind him, silently wishing his brother had been beside him.

“You will have to.” Raewyn pointed out, trying to adjust her tone to Kili’s, even as she felt more anger than regret.

The dwarf frowned upon her speech, slowly making his way down the stairs as he unsheathed his sword. Staring down at it, he threw it down the treasure hoard, swallowing thickly.

“I want to be with you.” He managed out, a defeated look on his face.

“But you cannot abandon your family.” She understood, giving a short nod as she remained in her place.

“Thorin will throw me out when he finds out you left the mountain.” Kili explained, now standing below the golden pile Raewyn was vacating.

“If.” She countered, giving him a warning glance.

“When.” He shot back, his voice steadfast and unwavering.

Observing his confident stance, the ranger sighed, dropping her shoulders.

“I cannot let you do that either.”

“So what will we do?” Kili tried, making his way on top of the pile.

“I don’t know.” Raewyn mumbled, looking up at the ceiling.

“Neither do I,” The dwarf admitted, his voice now closer. “And I am not here to tell you not to grab that gold, for I stand with you. You know this.”

His hands carefully found hers, drawing her attention back to him. Looking anywhere but at him, Raewyn squeezed his hand three times, finally resting her eyes on a pillar in the distance.

“So what will you have me do?” Kili finished.

“I was going to leave eventually,” The Asha confessed, letting her mind wander back to the burning lake they had faced days prior. “My quest ended when Smaug drew his last breath.”

“Then why are you still here?” The prince voiced, even surprising himself with his question.

Feeling her heart leap into her throat, she blinked slowly, having expected this question since their first night in Erebor, yet still unprepared with her answer. In all honesty, she did not even know why she was still here. It was obvious Thorin wanted her gone, but she did not stick around to agitate him on his throne. Nor did she stay for Bilbo, which she might have expected herself to do.

“You know why.” She ultimately answered, letting go of his hand as she took a step back.

“I do,” He admitted, taking a step towards her. “But I need to hear you say it.”

Loud footsteps were heard through the halls as both Kili and Raewyn’s heads shot up at the sound.

“Raewyn!” A voice shouted, seeming out of breath, yet extremely recognizable to the pair. “Thorin sent Kili to-”

Bilbo ran into the treasure room, spotting the two upon a golden hill. He broke his sentence halfway, letting out a sigh of relief as he noticed Kili’s sword missing.

“You did not think I was actually going to kill her?” The dwarf questioned, almost insulted.

“Kill me?” Raewyn repeated, genuinely surprised by the king’s order.

“I wasn’t going to.” He defended, holding his hands up in surrender, his mood suddenly switching.

Looking at the hobbit below and the gates in the distant halls, he inhaled deeply, making eye contact with the ranger.

“Strike me.” He concluded, his voice quiet, though she was sure she had heard him.

“Excuse me?”

“If you strike me and run off, I won’t be banished and you won’t be followed.” The dwarf explained, his tone more urgent as he stepped towards her again, making Raewyn take two steps back.

“I am not going to strike you.” She hissed, taking a quick look at Bilbo below, who seemed confused at the entire exchange.

Kili groaned in frustration, holding his hand up as he gently turned Raewyn’s head to face his.

“Please.” He pleaded, his eyes nearly begging as he lowered his arm.

The Asha only managed to stare at him, a hurt look flashing across her face. Kili’s face set in such sadness, yet determination, and she absolutely hated it. She would not strike him just to please Thorin. But she did not want Kili to get banished because she ran off without his interference.

Feeling her heart sink, she placed her feet further apart, staring at Kili with desperate eyes. But his intentions did not seem to waver. Instead of running towards her, he stood there, unmoving, waiting for Raewyn, whose mind was reeling by now, begging her to let him stand there and simply run off.

But before her inner conflict could get the better of her, she rest her weight on her left leg, kicking her right one from underneath her. Her foot harshly collided with Kili’s chest, knocking the air out of his lungs as he fell down the treasure hoard.

Swallowing the lump in her throat, she ran down as well, on the other side of the fallen dwarf. Turning only briefly to look at Bilbo, who had ran to Kili’s side. Blinking fiercely, she made way for the main hall, preparing herself to leave the mountain.

“You knew about Mithril forging.” She heard Kili’s voice call out. It was out of breath and shaky, but it was there.

Her footsteps wavered slightly, her pace fading as the lump in her throat began to swell.

“Keep it,” She called hoarsely. “It belongs to you.”

——

The walk towards Dale seemed longer, and more tiring, than it had perhaps been. Though Raewyn had been of stronger build, she began to realize the treasure in her pockets only made her footsteps heavier. She had already offered Farris a few chains in case she would be caught, but even those four lesser chains did nothing to fade the weight pulling at her trousers.

“Raewyn, wait!” Someone called out. Someone fairly close to her.

Before she could answer, Bilbo suddenly appeared in front of her, pulling a ring off his finger. One that Raewyn quickly recognized as the ring the hobbit had offered her in Mirkwood.

“Bilbo?” She spoke bewildered. “What are you doing here?”

The hobbit stuck his hand inside his coat, pulling out the ever-gleaming Arkenstone.

“Thorin is no longer the same,” He stated. “Perhaps this way we can encourage negotiations.”

“It is better off destroyed.” Raewyn countered, scoffing lightly. “Perhaps by making the one thing he longs to hold unobtainable, it will drive him mad enough to knock some sense into him.”

“We are not going to do that.” Bilbo objected. “This is for Bard.”

The ranger squinted her eyes upon his words. “For what? I have enough jewels here to save the people of Laketown.” She explained, gesturing towards the chains hanging from her pockets.

“That is also why I am here,” The hobbit muttered, taking another step towards his friend. “Bring it back, or- or keep it.”

“I’m sorry?” She questioned, visibly taken aback.

“Raewyn, you have told me so many tales and stories about the kingdoms of old and your avoidance of them,” Bilbo told, stuffing the Arkenstone back in his pockets. “Don’t throw yourself in deep of them because of one dwarf.”

“Thorin has nothing to do with this.” The Asha hissed, not angered by the hobbit, but angered at the insinuation of Thorin’s approval.

“I know,” Bilbo smiled knowingly. “Go back to Erebor, Rae.”

“Bilbo-”

“No,” He halted. “This is me putting my foot down.” Slamming a foot down to prove his point, he aimed his finger at the ranger, who was looking at him in silent judgment. “You have helped me so many times, now let me help you. And I am not in the mood to deal with another stubborn dwarf.”

Raewyn stared at him, trying to find the proper words to argue with him. But she knew he would not quickly change his mind. She knew he was leaving for Dale, regardless of her words. She could force him to run back to the mountain, had an urgent thought not suddenly crossed her mind.

“The orcs are on their way to siege Erebor,” She spoke without thinking.

Noticing Bilbo’s sudden shock and surprise, she sighed deeply. “Gandalf sent me a letter.”

“Have you warned them?” The hobbit asked, alarmed at the speech of his friend.

Raewyn swallowed thickly, looking at her feet for a short moment before turning to look back at the shorter creature.

“I wanted to.” Was all she said, letting Bilbo do his thinking on his own.

As if she could hear the gears turning in his head, she looked at the hobbit staring far-off, trying to understand her words. And when he did, his face revealed his realization, making Raewyn form her lips in a thin line.

“Revenge will not make you feel any better,” Bilbo whispered, resting a hand on her lower arm, silently pleading for her to turn back.

“I know,” She agreed quietly. “But with his mind, and his actions against the survivors of Laketown….”

Looking deeply into Bilbo’s eyes, she shrugged, causing the hobbit to drop his hand. “What if he does not get better? Will we let him rule by his own selfish bidding?”

“It is his kingdom.” He sighed, though the hobbit himself was not pleased by the thought. He knew Raewyn was right, and that his rule would be his end, but he did not dare to interfere with Thorin’s rule as the ranger had.

“So we let him get devoured by his own greed and power?” She exclaimed in exasperation. “He threatened and tried to kill me multiple times! He sent Kili after me. Kili won’t kill me, but the next dwarf might.”

Upon the name of the dwarf, Raewyn seemed to halt her next sentence, freezing upon a frightening thought. Gasping lightly, she took a step back.

“What was I thinking?” She mumbled, turning to look at the mountain in the distance. “Thorin might be insane, but he isn’t stupid. He’s going to kick him out.”

——

Where Raewyn had thought the walk to Dale was challenging, she found herself out of breath with every step she took back to the mountain. Farris had been following Bilbo regardless of her owner returning to Erebor, but Raewyn couldn’t find the urge to call the owl back.

She had already dropped a couple of necklaces and chains, but it was not the weight of the gold that made the climb back up so difficult. It was the dawning realization that she was to face Thorin once more. To try to bargain with him once more. And with the stubbornness of both of them, she knew she wouldn’t get far. Yet she had to try to talk to him, or at least try to stop the king from kicking anyone out.

From above her, she could hear two pairs of footsteps walking around, alerting her that there were dwarves up there guarding the gate, or perhaps even waiting for her arrival. Having only recognized one dwarf upon the noises, she halted momentarily, waiting for the second pair again. But when they appeared frozen, she pushed her shoulders back, simply walking up the remainder of stairs.

Almost immediately, Bofur ran up to her, his face laced with confusion and slight desperation.

“Lass, what are you doing here?” He pleaded, grabbing her arm to stop her movement.

Tearing her arm from his grip, she continued her path towards the gates.

“Where is Kili?” She questioned, the dwarf trailing behind her.

“He’s inside,” Bofur answered, shooting a quick glance towards Dori, who sat down beside the gate. “But why-”

“Where is Thorin?” Raewyn interrupted, now walking into the mountain.

“I suppose he is in the throne room, as usual, but-”

“How important is it?” She sighed, turning around to face Bofur, giving him an exhausted look, her breath still labored from the climb.

The dwarf took a deep breath, holding his finger up, though he seemed to have trouble finding the words that were yet to be spoken. After a short while, just as Raewyn was about to resume her path, he spoke up.

“Where have ye been?”

Looking at him, she frowned lightly, having expected another question entirely.

“That is not important,” She answered, before pointing to Dori, who was still watching from outside. “I need you to gather the dwarves.”

With those words, she took off again. It took a quick second for Bofur to realize she was leaving again, stumbling over his steps as he tried to catch up.

“Why?” He wondered, followed by a slightly more careful: “I do not think you have the authority to-”

“This is not a formal request, this is me asking you a favor as a friend.” The Asha shot off again, holding her hand up to emphasize her point. “Orcs are on their way to attack the mountain and - unless Thorin decided that his treasure is not worth pining over obsessively -, he is going to sit here and let it happen. So either you gather the company or I will, but I need them here before sunrise.”

That shut him up, his footsteps fading as he let the words slowly, but surely, sink in. Swallowing harshly, he stopped, letting Raewyn continue her own path.

“What’ll you do?” He called after her.

“That depends.” She voiced back, no longer turning around to face him.

“Depends on what?” Bofur dared to ask.

Raewyn sighed audibly, beginning to grow slightly annoyed at the curious dwarf. Yet, she answered him truthfully; “Depends on who is still walking these halls.”

Having finally accepted her words, Bofur took off running, rushing to find the dwarves, who had all scattered amongst the mountain. Where most of them were still on the look for the Arkenstone, there were some who had taken it upon themselves to discover the halls and kingdom itself. With the leave of Thorin of course. But they could be hiding anywhere, and sunrise was mere hours away. Both Bofur and Raewyn were running out of time.

——

Having known the way to the throne room better than she had liked, Raewyn was quick to find Thorin, and on his side Fili. The two seemed to be too caught up in their conversation, but the Asha could not quite hear what they were saying. Nevertheless, the absence of Kili did not go unnoticed by her, and it send her into another internal panic.

Fishing out the last couple of necklaces from her pockets, she threw them on the floor, aiming them at Thorin. The sound of the falling gems and gold immediately caught his attention, his head snapping up at an alarming rate.

“You,” He seethed, raising from his seat, staring down from his steps. “You attacked my kin. My sister’s son!”

The Asha only walked up to the steps of the throne, pointing her thumb towards Fili.

“Both of them, if you want to make a list.”

“You have a lot of nerve coming back.” He taunted, his voice sharp, as Fili frowned at the exchange.

Raewyn tilted her head to her right side, shrugging as she neared the first step.

“Yes, well, I was halfway down the stairs when I realized I hadn’t bothered you enough yet. I came back to make it up.”

“Do not think your humor masks your intentions,” The dwarf spoke clearly, his voice booming throughout the room. “I know why you are here.”

“Do you now?” She teased. “I highly doubt it. There’d be a lot more panic here if you had.”

“Do not play coy with me, Asha. I have seen your looks,” He roared, angered at not only her words, but her mere presence. “I am not as blind as you might be.”

“That’s an ironic thing to say.” Raewyn mumbled to herself, stopping on the second step as she looked at Thorin. Noting his sword missing, she suppressed the urge to smile, yet she could not help but let a small smirk show.

“Look, oh your great dwarvishness with your absurd crown and your heavy robes that weigh twice as much as your pride,” She proclaimed, Thorin’s face switching that to one of confusion, before falling back into rage. “You have orcs marching up to your gates. To your bloody treasure that you intend to dwell over your entire life. They will be here in two, if not one night.”

The king made no intention to speak, nor did Fili, though he dared to let a pleading look fall into his uncle’s direction.

“I do not know what you long to do with this information, but if you will not make a call, I am gathering the company and we shall leave.”

And with her speech, Thorin began to smile. A smile so mockingly, that she wanted to do nothing more than to slap it off, throwing him off of the stairs for good measure.

“They will never walk with you.” He laughed lowly.

“Perhaps,” She shrugged, her eyes falling onto Fili. “But they will walk with him.”

Thorin’s smile faded as his eyes cast upon his nephew, giving him an accusing look. Yet, he was quick to stare back down at the ranger.

“I see your plan,” He mumbled, though his voice echoed through the halls. “Was this truly how you envisioned it? Convincing us that a threat is nearing, when the real threat hides in Dale?”

His voice sent shivers down her spine, her mind casting back to her encounter with Smaug. The strong and witted words that fell from his mouth appeared as if they were now in Thorin’s brain The dwarf of earlier did not have this way of speaking, nor did he feel confident enough to speak them, but he was no longer holding back.

“Was it not you who set out to help them?” He resumed. “And now you have returned. Perhaps because they did not want the treasure, but I highly doubt it.”

Finally, the king moved, taking a step down the stairs, walking at an agonizingly slow pace, glaring at the Asha below him.

“No, you came back for something else. You came back to take something with you. Something that you forgot the first trip,” Another step was taken down, though he halted, as if to ponder over something.

“No, not forgot; incapable of bringing along. You changed your mind, so you came back to get him. Is that not the case?”

Now he was standing only a small step taller than her, giving him the opportunity to look down at the ranger, giving her a daring smile.

Squinting her eyes slightly, Raewyn frowned at him, a million words and thoughts rushing through her mind as she tried to carefully calculate her next words without revealing too much. But once more, her tongue was quicker than her mind, and the words started falling freely.

“Every second you sit here, your mind becomes more delusional.” She hissed. “The orcs are real. And they will be here soon. As for your supposed genius speech; I came back to warn you, hoping that you might still have some common sense knocked into you.”

Thorin tilted his head up, looking at his nephew behind him, before letting his eyes fall onto the wall behind Raewyn, no longer bothered by her words.

“So, were I to say Kili ran after you, you would not care?”

Upon his words, her jaw began to clench, one of her hands squeezing together, as she swallowed thickly. He could not have followed her, she tried to convince herself. She would have heard him. He would have called after her, or at least ran after her. His boots were heavier than all others, so she could have known he was coming from miles away. It was simply impossible Kili had ran after her.

Yet the thought of it did not seem faux enough. She knew he very well might have done it, and he might have been more quiet than usual, having known about her years as a ranger. But he had never once considered it before. Why would he have changed it all of the sudden?

“I will not fight for your sake, your name, your throne, or your claim,” She changed the subject, referring to her earlier words about the orcs, purposely not mentioning Kili. “I will lead the company away from this mountain, so I shall fight to defend them. Sit here and rot, I could not care any less.”

Stomping down the stairs angrily, she huffed loudly. From behind her, she could hear Thorin sit back down on his throne, as Fili finally began to move.

Nearing the necklaces she had earlier thrown on the ground, she stood on top of them, pushing much force into her steps as the rubies and emeralds shattered under her boots, the gems falling into a million tiny pieces.

“You should leave soon,” Thorin called, his speech mocking, though his voice sounded angry again. “Perhaps your orcs have already found him.”

Full Moon – Chapter 4

Pairing: Modern!Fìli x OCSerala!Werewolf
Warnings: None
Pairings:Fili Durin x Serala
Rating: E
Khuzdul: amrâlimê - my love
Summary: Seralas secret is out, and a decision is made to reveal to Fili just who she truly is. The encounter leaving more questions than answers for the oldest Durin, and what this could mean for his family.
Serala quickly removed herself from Fili as she ran into her bathroom slamming the door behind her. Her back pressed against it as she glanced in the mirror, her eyes shining a bright gold. Swallowing her head fell back against the wood as she ground her teeth together. She should have been smarter, making sure to calm herself first. A knock sounded on the other side, her ears picking up Fili’s steady heartbeat. “Serala? Are you okay? Talk to me please.” Closing her eyes, she turned pressing her forehead against the cool surface of the door. “Fili I… I don’t think I can, there is a lot of stuff you don’t know about me. Stuff that isn’t normal.” It was silent for a few moments before his soft buttery voice spoke, “try me amrâlimê.” Serala sighed as she closed her eyes, his words calming her down significantly. Her hand gripped the doorknob as she gently opened the barrier between them. Serala looked up at him her once golden eyes now a soft brown, Fili stepped towards her his hand caressing her cheek. His hand was warm, and she leaned into it a small hum leaving her. “You can trust me Sera, please tell me.” She nodded as she gently wrapped her hand around his wrist tugging him towards the bed they just shared. She sat down grabbing her discarded shirt slipping it over her head, as she wrapped the blanket around the rest of her body. “Have you ever heard the legend of the Loup garou?” Fili tugged his boxers on before taking a seat beside her slowly nodding, “Thorin used to tell Kili and I tales about the Loup garou. It’s a werewolf legend, right?”
“In a sense yes, how does Thorin know the legend?”
“Just a legend he would tell us to scare us into listening to our mother.” Fili winced mentally for responding so quickly. He hoped she would buy it, at least for now.
Serala sighed before deciding to continue her explanation. “There is some truth behind it Fi. My family comes from an extensive line of Loup garou lineage.”
“So, your ancestors had the ability to shift into a werewolf?”
“Yes. Nothing like what you see in the movies or what’s described in books either. In our true form we look like an average wolf.” Fili licked his lips and looked towards the bedroom wall, taking in Seralas words. His uncle had occasionally discussed the legends with him. Claiming that the Loup garou had defended the line of Durin for centuries even fighting beside them in battle. “Fi?” Filis eyes darted back to her as she sat there staring at him. “How many of your kind still exist?”
“Honestly, I’m not even sure. I just know in my father’s pack there are around twenty, not including my brother and I.” Licking her lips she reached over taking his hand in hers, “I want to show you who I truly am Fi. Something I’ve never shown anyone before.”  Fili nodded his hand giving hers a gentle squeeze. “Get dressed and meet me out on the deck.” Serala stood not bothering to put anything else on as she opened the back door and stepped into the cool night air. She placed her hands on the wooden railing as she waited for Fili, her mind racing. Never had she told anyone about her secret, let alone show someone her wolf form. As Seralas mind ran rampant with all sorts of dark thoughts Fili stepped out to join her, “are you sure you want to do this Sera, if you aren’t comfortable you don’t have to.” Staring at him she felt the same calmness that she felt in her bathroom wash over her, her thoughts no longer mattered. She wanted to do this, wanted him to truly see her. “I’m sure Fi, come on.” Taking his hand, she gently tugged him down the steps towards the forest that lay behind her home. Once far enough into the darkness and trees she released her grip on him. “Wait here. No matter what you feel when you see me, don’t run. I only have so much control.” Fili wondered what she had meant by that as he watched her walk towards one of the larger trees in front of them, watching as she removed the shirt she wore. Suddenly she disappeared behind the large trunk, and for several seconds Fili held his breath wondering if he should have followed. Just as his feet went to move, he heard the soft sounds of movement. A beautiful white wolf stepped out from behind the tree, golden eyes shining at him the moonlight making its fur look almost like snow.
The wolf stopped keeping some distance between itself and Fili, and he tried to control the desire to walk over and run his hand through its fur. “Serala?” Its ears shifted forward watching him. Fili decided to act against his better judgement as he slowly began to move forward taking four steps, the wolf lowering its head eyes watching him closely. “I’m not going to hurt you, Sera.” Fili crouched low his hand extended towards her as he swallowed. He wasn’t sure if she would smell him or attack, but he remained calm gauging the situation. He knew if Serala remembered she would be angry he hadn’t headed her warning of not moving, risking her losing control and him being injured. Yet he didn’t feel that she would harm him in her wolf form, he knew she recognized him, his scent. Slowly she stepped forward closing the short distance between them, her nose barely brushing against his hand as she sniffed.
A short whine came from her as a pink tongue darted out to lick Fili’s warm skin. He smiled as he brushed his hand over the short fur on her muzzle then moving to scratch under her chin, watching her eyes close accepting the scratches he provided. Suddenly her head snapped to the side ears perking up, as a low growl sounded from deep within her throat. Fili pulled his hand back as he watched her dart into the dark forest leaving him alone. Looking up her stared at the moon and wondered if Serala would come back, a sharp howl cutting through his thoughts. Taking one last look into the darkness he turned on his heal heading back towards her home millions of questions swirling around in his mind. He knew he would need to talk to Thorin, find out more about the Loup garou legend and what this discovery would mean for them. For now, though, he would wait for her to return no matter how long it took.
I know this chapter is a tad shorter than others, but I was utterly inspired at 3am so I decided to write up a chapter. I’m super happy and excited about where this story is going, and I look forward to writing chapter 5. Again thank you all so much for your support and love it means the world to me!

Pairing: Modern!Fìli x OCSerala!Werewolf
Warnings: Unprotected sex, drinking
Pairings:Fili Durin x Serala
Rating: 18+ NSFW (Oral M/F, Unprotected intercourse M/F, Nudity)
Summary: When Fili comes to spend time with Serala she starts to realize just how much of an impact he truly has on her. Her desires bubbling up inside of her, and her inner wolf wanting out to play. The night slowly turns into one of passion and words spoken through touch, and a secret is revealed.
The rest of the work day passed by without a hitch. Kili returning wanting to know what had happened between Serala and Fili. However, Serala had kept her mouth shut; not entirely sure she had wanted Kili to know his brother was coming over to her place, in utter fear he’d have given her crap for it. Upon her return home she had decided a quick shower was in order, her mind instantly wondering to Fili’s lips on her cheek. It wasn’t that she expected anything to happen but if it did, she wouldn’t necessarily complain about it. Once she finished, she put on fresher clothes and checked herself over in the vanity mirror. She gently ran her fingers through her dark hair as she chewed her lip nervously, her thoughts running rampant. The doorbell rang causing her head to snap towards her bedroom door. Fili was here and now she wasn’t sure if having him over was such a clever idea. Serala made her way out of the room making her way down the short hallway. Reaching the front door her hand held the knob, drawing in a deep breath she turned it and pulled it open. Fili stood there, a bag in one hand and a pizza in the other a smile on his perfectly made face. “Hey, you made it.”
Fili smiled his dimples caressing his cheeks, “of course I did. I wouldn’t miss this for the world Sera.” She stepped aside allowing him into her home, watching as he headed straight for the kitchen. Serala quickly closed her door before following behind Fili. He set the pizza down as he reached into a plastic bag. “So, I brought a bottle of red wine and Friday the thirteenth.” She smiled at the him, “you know the way to a womans heart Fi. Pizza, a classic horror movie, and wine.” Fili set the items out on the counter before looking at her, “no not any womans heart, just yours.” Serala’s heart hammered against her ribs as she looked down making her way past him to the cabinets.
“Flatterer.” Fili chuckled as he walked up behind her his hands resting on either side of the counter caging her in, his chest lightly touching her shoulders, “you like it.” For a moment Serala had to close her eyes her hands gripping the handles to the cabinets tightly. Her nails pressing into her palms as she took a deep breath. She could feel her body reacting to him, her inner animal wanting him to claim her. Ignoring the desire to turn around she finally opened the cabinet to pull two glasses out. She turned and pressed the containers into Fili’s chest as a smirk played at his lips. “Get us some wine?” He nodded and spun around his back now to her. Serala couldn’t help but bite her lip as her hands gripped the counter, she was flush against. Taking in a deep breath she walked to the counter to grab the movie case before making her way into the living room. She turned the tv on along with the DVD player as she popped the case open. Fili had come into the living room setting her glass down before taking a seat on the couch. His eyes watching her intently. “So, you said today you found out Jaymes was a douche while I was gone. May I ask what happened?” Serala sighed as she loaded the disc into the player before tossing the case to the side and grabbing the remote. She walked over to where Fili was and sat beside him grabbing her wine glass. “Where do I even begin Fi.” She swirled the liquid before taking a sip and turning her gaze towards him. “Two days after you left, I was at work and Thorin came in to tell me that I could clock out early. I figured since Jaymes was already waiting on me I’d run to grab us dinner. He must have figured that was enough time to have a friend over, when I got back, they were getting cozy. In my bed.”
Fili felt his jaw tense as he listened, he could see the hurt that flashed in Seralas eyes and it made his heart clench. “Sera I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pry. I shouldn’t have asked.” He watched her place her glass back onto the table next to the remote, sitting back to look into his eyes. She placed her warm hand on his arm as she gave a soft smile, “Fili, its fine. I’m not upset with the fact Jaymes and I split up. More so the fact he cheated instead of breaking it off, and well sleeping with another woman in my bed.” A breathy laugh left her as she squeezed his arm gently before her hand dropped from it. Serala turned her attention back towards the tv, as she gripped the remote and clicked play movie. “Anyway, lets watch the movie shall we.”
They sat in silence as the movie played until she watched Keven Bacon die rolling her eyes. “I swear teenagers in horror movies are so dumb. Always having sex at the worst possible times which leads to them being killed.” Fili chuckled as he looked over at her, “I’m pretty sure this was the eighty’s way of scaring teens into celibacy.” Serala laughed as she turned to stare at Fili. “Well look how well that did.”
They stared at one another for what seemed like forever. Serala could feel her heart hammer against her chest as she glanced down to Fili’s lips, his tongue darting out to lick them. Instinct took over in that instant as she grabbed his glass before placing it onto the table. The movie, pizza, and wine long forgotten as she climbed onto his lap her arms draping over his shoulders.
Fili ran his hands along her sides to her hips as she looked down at him from her spot on his lap. His cerulean eyes darker than they’ve ever been. Slowly Serala leaned down gently brushing her lips against his, “I want you Fili.” Without any hesitation his lips pressed against hers as if she was his oxygen. Her hands wrapping around his neck to play with the hair that rested above his shoulders. A low rumble sounded against her mouth as his hands moved lower gripping her backside pressing her closer to him. A small gasp left her allowing him to slip his tongue into her mouth. She became inebriated by his taste, savoring the sweetness the wine added. Slowly Fili pulled away and began to place kisses along her jaw and down her neck nipping at the exposed skin. Serala let her head fall back, closing her eyes tightly feeling her inner wolf trying to make an appearance. She wanted to rip off the clothes that clung to his body, mark him as hers in many ways. Fili tightened his grip as he pushed himself up from the couch, Serala wrapping her legs around his waist instinctively. He began his decent down the hallway to her bedroom both barely able to contain themselves. Once inside he gently tossed her onto the bed before removing his shirt and climbing over her. Serala carded her hands over the lush hair on his chest as she let out a low growl. Fili’s eyes were full of lust as his hands slid under her shirt, helping her to remove the piece of fabric. His hand reached behind her and with a flick of his wrist her bra came loose, quickly she helped remove it before dropping it. A breathy moan left Serala as his mouth found her right breast, his tongue tracing circles over her hardening nipple. His left hand caressing the other his thumb mimicking his tongues motions. Her hands wound through his hair as she lightly tugged, Fili lifted his head to see her staring at him with half lidded eyes. Smirking he removed his hand and slowly kissed down her stomach just stopping above her jeans. His hands now unbuttoning her jeans tantalizingly slow, before gently tugging them off. Fili could see her arousal seeping through her thong as he brought his fingers up to gently touch the outline of her folds. He pushed the fabric aside as he continued his teasing, Serala whining, “Fili please.”
Those two little words were all it took before he slid his pointer finger into her awaiting heat, slowly moving it out before pushing it back in. Finding the right pace and movement Serala felt the white-hot pleasure building inside of her, her hands gripping his hair harder than she meant to. Just as she felt herself reaching the peak of her decent Fili removed his hand, just as she is about to protest, she is unable to form words as his lips replace his fingers. His tongue is just as skilled as his fingers as he brings her past the point of no return, her hands pushing his head as close as he can be. A moan leaves him as he pulls back to look up at her, his tongue darting out to lick more of her from his lips. Serala eyes his jeans before she lets go of his hair, reaching up to switch their position. Her strength allowing her to take control as she undoes the button, mimicking his teasing behavior. His cock sprang free, and Serala licked her lips as she stared at it. She ran her thumb over his leaking head, before bringing it up to her lips her eyes watching his as she tasted him. His face contorted as he chewed his lip, his Adams apple moving as he swallowed heavily. Slowly Serala lowered her lips towards his cock as she opened her mouth to take him in. Filis hand found its way to the back of her head as he groaned his nails lightly scratching her scalp, causing a small hum to leave her. “Oh… fuck Sera…” Her tongue traced his length before she drew him further into her mouth. Fili wasn’t sure how much longer he could wait as he sat up causing Serala to release him with an audiblepop.
“Come here.” His hands gripped her bicep pulling her towards his lap. Her hands holding his shoulders as she hovered over him slowly lowering herself as he slipped between her wet folds. It was at this moment Serala was grateful for birth control, she could feel every inch of him without anything stopping her. His size filling her up as she gripped his body, “oh fuck Fili.” Fili gripped her hips as she began to move her body, lifting his hips to meet her as she rode him. Serala felt the same white-hot sensation overtaking her senses as their bodies met as one. “Fili… I’m close!” He pulled her towards him as his lips met hers in a rough kiss. Serala whined against his mouth as she felt her walls clench around him her nails digging into his shoulders. Fili gave a few more harsh thrusts into her as he came undone, his spend coating her walls. He pulled away from her lips letting his head fall against her shoulder as she brought hers forward to rest against him. “That was amazing.” A laugh rumbled through him as he tried to steady his breathing before pulling away to look at her, his brow furrowing. “Fi, what’s wrong?”
“Serala your eyes… they’re gold.”
  • Thank you so much for reading! This chapter took longer than expected as I wasn’t sure where I had wanted to go with it at first. This was my first time writing a sex scene, but I promise the next one will be better. As always it means the world to me that you all read my story!

Warnings: None

Pairings: Fili Durin x Serala

Rating: E

AU: I’m so sorry this chapter is so late! Things have been super hectic between work and planning for my vacation which starts this Monday. I’ll be gone until Sunday possibly next Monday. My plan when I get back is to start the next chapter for War of Hearts then chapter eight for Full moon!

Summary: A werewolf is a human who has the capability to shift into a wolf, either by sheer will or curse. However, many believe these tales to be myth but what if they turned out to be real.

Serala stepped out her front door just as Fili pulled up, she quickly shut the door to lock it. Her hand remained on the doorknob as the conversation her and Fenrir had was playing on repeat in her mind. A pack war, it seemed far-fetched but then again, the Gundabad pack was notorious for their despicable ways. Taking a deep breath, she decided it was best to just enjoy today with Fili turning she noticed him standing next to the passenger door holding it open a smile adorning his face. She walked down the steps quickly smiling, “such a gentleman.” She slipped into car with ease, the cool leather exterior seeping through the fabric of her sundress. Fili climbed in next to her, his hand reaching over to take hers gently, “you look incredible.” Her eyes met his as a heat rose to her cheeks as she smiled sheepishly. “You don’t look so bad yourself.” Fili wore a grey short sleeve button up, over a maroon t-shirt that exposed the golden curls that adorned his chest, paired with a pair of dark jeans. The site alone was enough to make any womans mouth water. He removed his hand from hers to pull out of her driveway before taking it again as she thought about where he’d gone earlier. “So how was the meeting with Thorin?”

“It went well, we were just discussing some potential marketing campaigns for the museum.” Fili hoped she’d believe him after all it was just harmless lie. Right?

“Finally. I’ve been telling him for months that he needs to focus on marketing. We don’t see nearly enough visitors as we should.” Serala couldn’t help but glance at him giving him a smile, “I’m glad I’m not the only one that agrees.” The ride fell into a comfortable silence, and she finally noticed how right his hand felt in hers. His thumb absentmindedly brushing over her skin causing a shutter to run up her spine. The affect he had on her was strange, she felt calm around him most of all she trusted him. This was something she’d never thought she’d feel. Even with Jaymes it felt as though the relationship revolved around sex, with Fili it was more than that.

“You’re staring.” Fili snapped her from her train of thoughts, a ghost of a smirk appearing. “Mhmm you’re nice to stare at what can I say.”

“Oh really?”

She couldn’t help but scoff, “you’re enjoying this aren’t you?”

“Maybe.” A deep chuckle rumbled through him and Serala turned to sink lower into the leather seat as she stared out the windshield. “Well now I’m not going to stare anymore.”

His hand squeezed hers gently as his blue eyes looked between her and the road, “awe I’m sorry, I like when you stare at me.” She couldn’t help the heat that crept up her neck as she gave a small smile, “maybe I’ll keep staring then.”

✯✯✯✯

The rest of the ride went by quickly as they pulled up in front of Bilbos. Serala noticed that everyone was there, and she groaned inwardly knowing Kili would question why Fili had not returned to their shared apartment last night. She heard the driver’s side door open and close quickly watching as Fili practically ran to her side to open the door. She stepped out as he shut it behind her before his hand instantly found hers, their fingers intertwining together. Her heart fluttered at the small gesture as they walked up to the front door ringing the doorbell. Bilbo appeared before them holding a wine glass, his eyes looking to her and Fili’s hands and she could see the ghost of a smirk grace his features. “About time you two got here. Come in!”Serala stepped inside Fili right beside her as she heard soft jazz music playing, the smell of food greeting her keen senses. “It smells divine Bilbo.” He stepped around her smiling as he began leading them to the kitchen. “I wish I could say that it’s my cooking you’re smelling but it’s not. Thorin offered and I didn’t have the heart to tell him no.” Serala raised her eyebrows as she smiled, “oh really?”

“Don’t go there.” Bilbos cheeks were flushed as he took a sip of his wine. As the three stepped through the threshold Kili sat up straighter smiling at his brother and best friend leaping off the stool he sat on. “Sera!” He practically tackled her, her hands wrapping around him as she laughed, “hey Ki.” She pulled herself away from the brunette as he turned to hug Fili. The dynamic between the two always surprised her, especially with how close they were. Nothing like the relationship she had with Fenrir.

“Where were you last night Fi? You didn’t come home.” Serala felt her cheeks flush as she felt everyone’s eyes on both of them. Fili gave a breathy laugh as he shrugged, “just hanging out with Sera. We watched her favorite movies and ate pizza. Ended up passing out on her couch.” Nice Fi she thought, knowing full well Kili did not believe it with how he was looking between the two of them. Bofur spoke up turning everyone’s attention to him, “I suppose the movie was a romance, eh?” Laughter filled the kitchen and dining room as Fili’s face flushed slightly. Bilbo clapped his hands together, “anyway! Sera want to help me grab more wine from the wine cellar?” She had never been more grateful for the curly haired man as she nodded, “of course, lead the way.” She silently followed Bilbo down the wooden steps as they walked past rows of wine he had collected over the years. Suddenly he turned towards her, “spill. I know you two didn’t just watch movies.” Serala groaned as she rubbed her face before inhaling through her nose. “We may or may not have… slept together.” Bilbos eyes widened slightly as he gripped her shoulders, “and you didn’t bother to call me to tell me you and Fili were together?!” Cocking her head, she raised an eyebrow as she stared at the crazy eyed man before her, “what do you mean call you to tell you? Am I supposed to inform you about my sexscapades besides I’m not even sure what we are at this point.” It was Bilbos turn to raise an eyebrow as his hands released her, “not sure what you are? Have either of you even discussed it?” Serala sighed as she leaned against one of the shelves, “no. Not really. I’m not even sure how to bring it up, I mean what if he isn’t looking for something serious not to mention Jaymes and I split not that long ago.”

Bilbo crossed his arms one of his hips jutting out, the sass clear in his tone, “didn’t you tell me not that he hated Jaymes? Why should that matter?” Serala knew he was right. It was no secret how much Fili disliked her ex-boyfriend, always having something to say. “I hate when you’re right, but it still doesn’t change the fact I’m hesitant.”

“It’s no secret how you both feel about one another honestly. Everyone sees how you both look at each other, it’s almost sickening.” Serala smirked at Bilbo, “sickening like you and Thorin eye fucking each other or?”

“We do not eye fuck each other!”

“Oh, you totally do, and you for one know I’m right.”

Bilbo scoffed as he rolled his eyes, “listen, I’m not saying right now but maybe you  should talk to him about it and see how he feels. Let the chips fall where they may kind of deal.”

She gave a huff before pushing herself off the shelf, “maybe you’re right. I’ll think about it, but in the meantime, we should probably head back up.” Bilbo nodded before reaching over to grab a random wine as they made their way back up the steps and into the kitchen. Serala noticed Fili standing beside Thorin while he cooked, her eyes darting over to Kili who sat with Dwalin and Ori. Making her way over to the three men she pulled one of the chairs out before sitting down. “So, what are you guys talking about?”

Kili looked to her, “we were just discussing what Dwalin here overheard this morning at the museum.” This made her perk up as she placed her arms on the table leaning on them, “yeah Fi told me he was discussing marketing campaigns.” Dwalin gave a smirk as he shook his head, his beard swaying slightly, “that’s what he told you? Seemed to me Fi was interested in some of the history that revolves around the Durin bloodline.” Serala licked her lips, her heart hammering against her ribs. Her mind going back to the conversation she had with Fili the night before, “Thorin used to tell Kili and I tales about the Loup garou. It’s a werewolf legend, right?” She took a deep breath trying to calm herself as she narrowed her eyes at Dwalin, “what do you mean? What about his bloodline?”

Before Dwalin could say anything, Ori spoke from beside him, “Apparently, he is interested in the Loup garou legends. Old stories about men who had the ability to shift into wolves who protected the line of Durin or fought beside them. That was a long time ago, not sure why he’s interested in it now.” It was as if the wind had been knocked out of her lungs as she stared at Ori. Fili had lied to her but not just that he had gone to Thorin, and she wondered if he had told him what she had shown him the night before. “You okay Sera? You look like you’ve seen a ghost?” Her eyes turned to Kili his eyebrows furrowed as he stared at her. “O-oh yes, I’m fine. Fili mentioned something about that when we were watching the wolfman last night. I had no idea his bloodline had its own legends is all.” Kili nodded as the three men fell into another conversation. Serala was unable to focus on what they were even saying as she sat there, her mind reeling at what Ori had just said. She figured if Fili had wanted to know more, he would have asked her, but clearly, she was wrong. Pushing herself away from the table as she stood up, “I’m going to go talk to Fili, I’ll be back.” Her eyes looked to see him still speaking with Thorin, her body moving on its own towards the two. “Hey Thorin, can I steal Fi for a moment. I need to talk to him.” A smirk made its way to Thorin’s face as he nodded, “sure Sera. You two don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” Before Serala could hear the jokes being thrown at Thorin she grabbed Filis hand leading him out the back door as she closed it. Tugging him away from the glass out of  view of the others her brown eyes meeting his blue ones, “you lied to me.”

“What do you mean? What did I lie about?” He knew instantly she knew.

She couldn’t help but scoff as she ran a hand through her hair, “you weren’t talking to Thorin about marketing campaigns, you met up with him to talk about the Loup garou legends. God Fili, I trusted you.” He raised his hands as he took a step forward, “Sera listen I know how this looks but I didn’t say anything about you, I swear. I just wanted to learn more about it is all.” She didn’t know if what he was telling her was the truth at this point. Every fiber in her being wanted to believe him, yet she couldn’t shake the hurt that felt like sting as if someone had slapper her the face. “I want to believe you’re telling me the truth Fi; I fucking do but I just don’t know if you are. You could have talked to me if you wanted to know more. I feel so stupid.”

“Please Sera-”

“No. Just stop Fili. I need time to think, I’m going to see if Kili will take me home.” Before he could say anything else Serala opened the door and walked back into Bilbos. Her eyes found Kili talking to Bofur as she gave tight lipped smile walking over to them, “hey Ki I hate asking but would you be able to take me home. I’m not feeling the greatest all the sudden.” He stared at her slowly nodding, “sure Sera, you okay?” She nodded slowly, “yes, I’ll be okay. I’m going to let Bilbo know.” She looked to see Bilbo standing beside Thorin both men’s attention turning to her as she approached, “Sera what’s wrong?” Bilbo set his wine glass down as he stepped towards her his hands cupping her cheeks. “Nothing love, just don’t feel the greatest. I’m going to head home I’m sorry I know I only just got here.”

He shook his head at her, “you have nothing to apologize for sweety. Just please call me when you get home. Just so I know you’re okay.”

“Of course.” She gave him a quick hug as she turned to say goodbye to the others before heading to the front door to wait for Kili. A warm hand wrapped around her wrist as she looked back to see Fili his blue eyes not as bright as they had been this morning. “Serala at least let me drive you home. Please.” She sighed as footsteps sounded behind Fili, Kili standing there looking between the two keys in hand. “Everything okay?”

“Yup, I’m going to be taking Serala home instead Ki. Thanks, anyway.” Before she could say anything to the younger Durin Fili was tugging her out of the house and towards his car. She slowly climbed inside as he shut the door behind her walking to the other side to climb in. Turning the ignition over her pulled away from the curb the air inside the cab thick.

✯✯✯✯

The ride back to Seralas house seemed to drag on. Neither she nor Fili had spoken since leaving Bilbos, not that she particularly had a problem with that. She watched as he pulled into her driveway, unbuckling her seatbelt ready to bolt as soon as he put it in park. As her door swung open, he gently gripped her wrist again the warmth of his fingers causing her to shiver, “I know you’re pissed at me, and I completely understand but I just want you to know I meant what I said. I didn’t tell Thorin anything.” Feeling his grip release she stepped out of the car closing the door before making her way up the steps. Unlocking her door, she stepped inside not bothering to look back as she closed it quickly locking it. Tugging her phone from her pocket she dialed the one person she never thought she’d speak to again. The dial tone sounded in her ear before a gruff voice spoke over the line, “hello?”

Taking a deep breath Serala spoke, “Dad… We need to talk.”

anonymous asked: Would it be possible to write an imagine with fili where you sneak into erebor (after the bofa) because its raining and you have no home and fili finds you and takes care of you in his room?
Written by: Anna
Pairing: Fili X Reader

Cold.

The cold was all you could feel, it seeped into your veins and ate at your fingers as you tugged desperately at your jacket, trying to warm yourself up through the thick, damp fur.

But the damn rain was making that near impossible!

You were positive that if you didn’t get out of the rain in the next few minutes you would die, luckily, you had some sort of idea as to where you were exactly. Stuck between Dale and Erebor, you had no place to go, Dale refused to let you in, not welcoming any strangers, so now your only chance was Erebor.

Upon making it to the large gates of the mountain, you looked up, water flooding into your eyes as you realized that there was no one on guard at that moment. “N-n-no!” You groaned, your teeth chattering wildly.

You had no idea what you were going to do, observing the gates, you stepped towards them, placing your hands on the cold, wet bars. You could hardly feel the cold anymore, you were almost past the point of freezing at that point, and it was all you could do to not fall over and let yourself go right there.

And that was when you realized that if you maneuvered your body just right, you might be able to slip through the bars! Forcing yourself to stay upright, you turned sideways, shoving your body in between two thick bars, wiggling around as you almost got caught between them, but you just barely managed to slip through.

Once you were on the inside of the gates, you had scampered towards the warmth radiating from inside the mountain, hoping to not be caught. The rain had disappeared from around you, but you were spent, exhausted actually.

You tried to make some noise, to try and get someone’s attention, but you couldn’t make a sound, you were just too tired.

A second later, you had collapsed in the beautiful, dully lit hallways of the great kingdom, your body physically unable to support itself any longer as your knees gave out underneath you.

And the next thing you knew, your eyes slipped shut and you were pulled into unconsciousness.

()()()()()()

You awoke to a warm touch on your forehead, warmth was absolutely flooding through your veins. A moan escaped your lips as you turned sideways, pulling yourself further into the warmth of whatever was surrounding your body, not that you cared.

Slowly, you managed to pull open your eyes, regaining consciousness. When you managed to look around the room, you noticed that you were laying on a large bed, blankets piled all around you.

The second thing you noticed was the man sitting next to you, his hands resting next to you on the bed. He seemed to notice that you’d woken up, his eyes widening as he held his hands up in a calming manner, but you weren’t worried, just… tired.

“Are you feeling alright?” He asked, standing up.

After a brief hesitation, you nodded, not trusting your words at the moment. He helped you sit up, placing you against a plethora of pillows by the headboard of the bed before sitting back down.

You cleared your throat, looking up at the man and finally got a good look at him. He was rather attractive in your opinion, he had long blond hair, and a braided moustache (that you thought was strangely cute, but you weren’t planning on mentioning it.) and he had beautiful blue eyes.

“So…” You began, testing your voice out. “Em, what happened?”

He gave a small chuckle. “Well, I was hoping you could tell me that. You showed up in Erebor, your presence unknown to everyone, and you were found, passed out on the ground.” The male said to her, sending her an uneasy glance.

You found yourself trying to move around, wanting to get up, but you were quickly stopped when a hand was placed on your shoulder to push you back into the pillows. “I’m sorry, but you should stay sitting, you had blacked out, it’s not going to be good if you get up and black out again.” He warned, his large hand soft against your shoulder.

The male reached over and grabbed something off the bedside table, pulling it into your line of vision. You gave a sigh of relief when you saw that it was a glass of water. “Here, drink this.” He said.

Happily, you accepted the glass and took gently sips, careful not to down it all at once, and when you were done, the male took it back. “Thank you.” You mumbled, scooting further down into the warm blankets.

“What’s your name?” The blond perked up, his curiosity taking the better of him.

You turned on your side to look at him, his blue eyes piercing yours as he patiently awaited your answer. “…I’m (y/n).” You introduced, hesitantly.

He smiled warmly at you, almost dreamily. “(y/n),” He repeated to himself. “It’s lovely.”

You felt a blush rise up to your cheeks at his compliment. “T-thank you… what’s yours?” You asked in response, your curiosity getting the better of you. “It’s only fair.” You added.

The dwarf sent you a cheeky smile. “Fili, at your service.” He introduced with a small bow.

“It’s nice to meet you Fili.” You smiled, cuddling yourself further up into the blankets.

Fili gave a deep chuckle, throwing his head back, making you smile. Thankfully, he seemed to notice how tired you still were, and he silenced himself once more. “Maybe you should get back to sleep, (y/n), you’ve been through a lot.” He offered, resting his hand right next to your face.

You were practically asleep already, your eyes slipping shut ever so slowly. You hummed almost inaudibly as you let your eyes slip shut. “Goodnight, Fili,” You muttered, not quite sure of what you were saying. “Thank you for taking care of me.”

The last thing you heard before you slipped back into the land of dreams was a warm laugh and soft lips press against your forehead, lulling you off to sleep that much faster.

“My pleasure, (Y/n).”
