Sneak peak of new Power Pack miniseries by Louise Simonson and June Brigman coming out this summer (or winter in my case :P).
Can’t wait!
Fantastic Four #127 (Thomas/Buscema, Oct 1972). Sweet blue-eyed Benjamin gets fooled by the combined forces of the Mole Man and a forgotten Iron Man villainess.
Fantastic Four #130 (Thomas/Buscema, Jan 1973). Reed can’t keep up with women’s lib so Sue takes Franklin and leaves. Just as Franklin’s starting to show hints of his own powers, too! Gosh, after reading a good chunk of Buscema’s art with Vince Colletta’s sketchy inks, I’m really so impressed with Joe Sinnott’s more elegant ink. It really retains Kirby’s sense of polish and kinetic drama.
there I was just chilling about thinking on the illuminati scene in multiverse of madness and what Wanda did, and then I realized something — 838 Reed Richards mentioned having kids, which means there is a Franklin Richards in that universe whose father was just murdered
oh no
if 838 Franklin Richards is anywhere close to the level of power that he’s shown to have in the comics, then our 616 Wanda and possibly our 616 Earth is about to become the target of a very powerfulandvery angry reality warping being who’s been known to outclass quite a few omega level mutants during his comics existence
I mean this is the same person whom as a kid created a baby universe!
and as an adult has taken out Celestials and made Galactus his herald without breaking that much sweat!!
our Wanda has just given him a very legitimate reason to use those powers in very destructive ways!!
so I’m guessing a young 838 Franklin Richards going into Earth 616 to wreck shit and get revenge might just be marvel’s way to jumpstart the Secret Wars arc???
if this happens tho, well Earth 616, it was nice knowing ya, I hope Franklin be gentle we’re fucked
I think it would be a good idea if the Fantastic Four film followed the example of Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Batman by skipping the origin. Use the multiverse and set it in one where the team is already established and has been active for over a decade, this way Franklin and Val can be in the film and that would really set it apart from the previous film. Instead of fledgling heroes, make them experienced veterans.
Maybe start with a montage showing their origin and career as heroes, but don’t make it the main story.
So like what the Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton did.
I agree but mainly because let’s face it Sue really didn’t become intresting until after they became the working mom superhero. But another aspect that needs to be addressed in the montage is that Doom doesn’t have anything to do with the origin. That’s the mistake the other movies did
