Fertility and purification are the associated powers of pine.
This may be why some use pine branches to sweep the ground before performing magick or rituals outside.
Pine Needles scattered on the floor inside drive away evil and negativity as well as burning them purifies and cleanses the home. Pine Cones are carried to increase fertility.
Up-close of Euripides while I was cleaning the enclosure today :)
My little weekend project
Meet Ovid and Euripides my little garden snails! These guys are chilling in a tuperweare container atm but I plan on moving them into a full-blown terrarium at some point. I’ve been wanting to keep snails for awhile so I’m super excited!
Update on the snails! Ovid and Euripides are doing pretty well… I switched up their enclosure a bit because I figured they were getting bored and needed a more engaging atmosphere.
So far I’ve figured out that their favorite foods are romaine lettuce, green beans, and spinach. They really don’t seem to be big fans of fruit though ♀️ I tried giving them tomato and strawberries and they didn’t touch them.
This is a really good, comprehensive list of edible flowers. It has a vivid description each plant’s taste and how to use and harvest as well as including which parts of the plant are inedible (x)
Here’s a great free ebook on cooking, brewing and blending herbs (x)
This website has fantastic gardening advice. Just search for a plant and it will tell you how to grow it, what grows indoors, pest, solutions, trivia and much, much more. (x) And it even has an edible gardening section (x) plus an indoor section if you don’t have a garden (x)
If you have any other resources, feel free to add them to this list.
