This is the last picture I took of my friend Harley. He was 16 years old, deaf, and grumpy, but he loved me. Now I have to figure out how to get through my days without him. My chair is too big, I don’t know where to put my hand (it was always on the dog), I don’t have anyone to sit on my clothes when they come out of the dryer, I had to throw away the rest of the toast I couldn’t finish, I had to try and sleep without his snoring and scratching. This is going to be hard.
