I was just thinking (again) about how it’s absolutely funny that everyone that has been a team with sasuke has been in love with them….like okay, so maybe they aren’t, but you can easily interpret it that way, and it would be more funny that way. anyways, as I was saying, I was thinking about that when I stumbled on very funny and very good narusasu fic idea.
like…. thinking of sasuke coming to the horrific realisation that literally all of team taka (well, with the exception of juugo) + seven are in love with him. used to be, for some. (its karin & sakura, who are very into each other now) and thinks it must be some curse and thinks again, of what he had just said, and — that — that must be mean…. naruto…too… is… maybe. perhaps. there’s a possibility, and sasuke finds that he isn’tat all repulsed by the idea. he….he… doesn’t not like it? if he imagines naruto pressing all up against him like karin, or if he had walked around nak— sasuke cuts off that thought abruptly, and doesn’t know how to deal with this sudden epiphany, that naruto might like him romantically and… sasuke isn’t against that idea, at all. likes it even. it’s very weird to deal with. and of course, naruto has no absolutely idea he likes sasuke that way at all, and this makes things very hard. like so much harder, and not even the fun hard. like in where, sasuke goes investigating but in a subtle way, of course, which turns out to be unsubtle and naruto is like, “why….are you acting so weirdly, teme???” and is all concerned and sasuke gets irritated (embarrassed) and then naruto gets irritated by sasuke by not making sense and being a bastard and it ends in a fight and they get nowhere, again.
all of konoha (and by that, I mean, konoha 12 mostly) watch this disaster occur and is like yep, yeah, not getting anywhere near that disaster, so naruto & sasuke are left to themselves, which is very bad all around, and they barely get anywhere. naruto is so convinced that sasuke is his brother, insists and says it very much and very loudly, while also waxing some poetry about his eyes. it’s all very weird, around and sasuke is so confused and upset, and… god… it’s a mess. I don’t even know where I’ll go with it. I do want a scene where sai decides to intervene, but like… in a sai-way where he didn’t mean to intervene for the purposeful act of intervening, he was just curious of what the fuck was going on with them and comes out, being just as confused. sakura shakes her head, and is like, I don’t get them either and don’t want to, honestly. but seriously. things escalate to the point where she’s being affected, and getting irritated, and done by them that she has no choice to intervene. it does nothing but make everything worse. everyone decides to never talk about what happened that week. ever.

Shino and Sai Friendship Headcanons
Sai brings Shino random bugs he finds in his house.
Sai: Hello. I found this spider in my bathroom and I figured bringing it to you would be a better decision than squishing it.

They have long rambling conversations in which they go from talking about cool bugs to paintbrushes to the demonization of insects to bug-centric art galleries and nobody can keep up with the conversation, yet it has a perfect train of thought.
Bugs are cool, Sai wonders if he can paint one and they speculate on which paintbrush would capture the essence of a bug to wondering if there’s any art museums with bug paintings that Sai can observe to realizing that people think bugs are yucky and don’t belong in museums to Sai making a bunch of bug paintings for a bug-centric art gallery.
It makes sense to them but everybody who was trying to listen is like (•-•)“’
Shino teaches Sai about which bugs can help fertilize a garden to make it better so that he can take care of the flowers that Ino gave him (and maybe impress her a bit with his flower tending skills)
Shino invites Sai on bug-catching adventures along with Kiba and Hinata.
Shino gives them a bug briefing, Kiba, Akamaru, and Hinata find the bugs, and Sai gets to sketch and take notes on them. It’s a very efficient system.
Sai invites Shino on trips to art museums and such.
They wander the museum for hours without a tour guide, and play all the museum spotting/finding games that were probably for children but who’s going to ruin their fun?
Shino and Sai accompany each other to do random mundane tasks. I just have a feeling they’d go with each other to hand in mission reports, and shopping trips, and just going to the grocery store for food.
Again, wandering duo. They will browse every section of the store and become mini experts on it. They watch the lobsters and Sai has an entire conversation with the employee on lobsters and how to take care of them while Shino contemplates purchasing one for his more bloodthirsty bugs to eat.
The toy aisle is their favorite part. Mindlessly pressing buttons and making toys do things? Amazing. Shino collects a small brand of Guess Which Bug Is In The Box toys and Sai gets a t-shirt with a lion on it.
Thrift shopping is their favorite.
If you can’t start a proper conversation and I can’t start a proper conversation, then who’s driving the car?
Sometimes they will just sit in silence and do their own things. It’s nice to have company, somebody who recognizes you and is comfortable enough to let down their guard and be at peace.
They will put on a cartoon and sit in front of the tv, occupied for a long time. They only remember to eat when one of their stomachs yell at them.
I base their friendship off them both being background characters in the grand scheme of things. Sai is a second thought for Team Seven, Naruto didn’t even remember who Shino was. They don’t get a lot of attention so they like to stick by each other when they meet because it’s nice to have someone to walk around and talk with. Someone that recognizes you’re there but doesn’t shout your presence for the whole world to hear. A quiet but meaningful friendship.

The Yamanaka clan is one of the oldest clans, being among the very first clans to reside in the newly-founded Konohagakure village along with Uchiha, Senju and Hyūga. This is proved because despite being ninjas, members of the Yamanaka clan are also skilled Botanists who runs a flower Shop in the village, which existed since Hashirama’s era.
Though not battle-type by nature, Members of the Yamanaka clan are Sensors & Telepaths with mind altering/reading/controlling abilities, making them experts at Information gathering, Tracking, Interrogation, Communication, Spying etc. Yamanaka clan techniques were one of the most widely used techniques in the Fourth Shinobi World War, especially the Mind Transfer Technique which was used to overtake Obito’s control over Ten-tails twice and Mind Transmission Technique which was the only source of communication within the Alliance.
Yamanaka clan is a part of the Legendary Ino-Shika-Cho trio, the second strongest trio, along with Nara & Akimichi Clan. The 3 clans uses combination attacks in formations in such a way each member’s abilities complements the others’ in the best way possible with high accuracy in battles.
Members of the Yamanaka clan lead the Analysis Team of Intelligence Division and the Sensory Division of Konohagakure. With Sai now being a part of the Yamanaka clan, Konoha ANBU is also currently lead by a Yamanaka, hence the clan having a very high authority in the village.
Members of the Yamanaka clan often wear their hair in ponytails which appears to be traditional in order to be easily recognizable within the community, and earrings in order to demonstrate their representation in the Ino-Shika-Cho trio.
Yamanaka Clan was acknowledged by Tobi/Obito Uchiha in his fight against Fū Yamanaka, Members of the Kara Organization, Danzō as he chose a Yamanaka from the Root to be his bodyguard, and the God of the Shinobis Hashirama seeked aid specifically from a Yamanaka clan member in the Fourth Shinobi War.
After Inoichi Yamanaka’s heroic death, Ino became his successor and took over the lead of the Yamanaka Clan in the Fourth Shinobi War. Currently in the peace era, she carries all her father’s duties- continues to lead the Clan, serves as a medium of the communications across the Five Great Shinobi Nations, leads the Sensory Division and the Analysis Team of the village while also running the clan’s flower shop and raising a new heir of the clan.
After Ino’s marriage to Sai, Sai took over the Yamanaka surname, officially becoming a part of the Clan. Hence the Yamanaka blood now has the potential to perform Sai’s exclusive Super Beast Scroll Technnique. Ino & Sai gave birth to Inojin Yamanaka, a promising heir to the Clan - who is also able to combine the sensory powers he inherited from Ino and the Super Beast Scroll he inherited from his father Sai.
Trivia: The name “Yamanaka” means “in the middle of mountains” or “in the mountain range”, and Yamanaka Clan’s customary prefix “Ino” is the short form for “Inoshishi” which means “Boar”. It is known that wild boars are heavily associated in the mountain ranges of Japan.
The Yamanaka Crest is a Bush Clover flower which represents “A positive love who treasures bonds”. Inoichi Yamanaka, the late head of the clan raised his daughter Ino Yamanaka to embody this title, and believed that she had bloomed into a beautiful Bush Clover before his death.
