Both Owen and Jamie just have to live their lives without the people they loved and they have to watch these children they cared for forget the time they all spent together as a family and now I’m emo goddammit
According to all known laws of existence, there is no way a live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality. Even larks and katydids are supposed, by some, to dream. Hill House, of course, stood by itself against its hills anyway, because houses don’t care what humans think is impossible.
Y’all I forgot how emotional the last episode of Haunting Of Hill House is and now I’m crying and slightly an emotion wreck but fuck do I love this series so much.
I sort of think Mike Flanagan gets wlw relationships simply because he writes sex as solace and characters as survivors made so complex and jaded that they only believe in real love and don’t call anything real love until proven.
