So, this is the most amazing dessert EVER. SERIOUSLY. If you are an ice cream freak like me, this is a super health alternative. Less calories, less fat, less carbs, and less preservatives and less all that other junk they put in ice cream now a days! Honestly, I would eat this banana ice cream over regular ice cream anyday because it tastes THAT good.
Yields: 2 portions
Ingredients
3 medium-large extra ripe bananas (you know when they are just about to be thrown out… all mushy and freckly.. those are perfect!)
1 tbsp cinnamon
Directions
1. Chop or slice bananas into small/thin slices
2. Place banana slices in covered container and freeze (approx 4-6 hours)
3. Once frozen, remove slices and place in blender. Blend the frozen bananas until mushy/creamy
4. Serve in bowl and add cinnamon to taste
Your probably thinking.. great..frozen mushy bananas… yum…(yuck!). Seriously though, if you are dieting and/or trying to lose weight, this recipe will tackle even the worst sweet tooth! Its creamy, flavorful, and your only having a piece of fruit. Brilliant!
