Challenge update:

Yeah, I’ve basically failed my own challenge

Once things calm down I am going to restart it. I won’t have to babysit on the weekends and hopefully I will be on a set 2nd shift schedule at work.

Also I will be able to go grocery shopping on Saturday so I can get water (more importantly caffeinated water) so I don’t have to drink coffee if I have a morning shift.

I will have time after work to also meditate since I won’t have to rush to get things done and go to bed for an early shift.

Also, I am leaving work and rejoining the gym. So I will be working out again starting tomorrow. (I don’t have workout clothes with me today)

I am setting a goal for myself right here, right now. There are 22 pairs of jeans in this box that do not fit me. At least 6 pairs (I didnt try anything on) I know fit me but are pretty tight. Half of the rest used to fit. The other half were given to me that I never got to wear but are the same size as most of the others.

The goal is to have most of them fit by next summer. I can easily do this as long as I am consistent. I want to fit in the size 13s again. There is everything from size 7 to size 17 in this box.

100 Day Challenge

This is something I had started a separate blog for but I have decided just to do it here instead. The goal is to pick a few things to do consistently to better myself in the span of 100 days.

I have made a list of things that I want to improve about myself ranging from losing weight, to accomplishing my writing goals, to keeping my house clean.

The first two I have picked are the ones I feel are the simplest things to change.

1. Meditation.

2. Drink only water.

Meditation is suppose to help with a lot of things, including managing stress, so that was my first pick.

Water should be another easy one. I recently switched locations for my job. My original location had a good 30 selections of drinks, which included easily 7 different teas. My new location only has one weird tea. I stopped drinking soda a while ago so tea was my only option. Our water was weird at the original location.

I will be adding more probably in October or November starting a separate round. Those will be around working out and eating healthy. I’m starting those later because they are money related lol. I am rejoining my gym in october when I get my first paycheck as a supervisor. I will also have a grocery budget so yay!

I haven’t been active on here at all. Mostly because I haven’t been doing ANYTHING health-wise.

Rewind a year ago, I have been falling into my depression more. I switched to second shift which made it difficult to get to the gym (as I stay up late after work and sleep too late to go before I have to go back.)

Also, broke. So I wasn’t able to eat right the way I need or want to. I was (and really still am) eating like one meal a day at work.

Well, my grandma passed away in January. I could no longer afford to pay my car insurance and the gym since I was on my grandma’s plan and she was helping me out with insurance. My insurance was like $100/mo but my grandma was having me pay $50/mo and help her out a little. Well, when she passed away I had to get my own insurance.

I couldn’t afford to pay $100/mo in insurance and $40/mo gym membership fee. My two-year gym contract was up in April, so I canceled it. Fully intending to join back up next summer when I would have my car paid off.

I have managed to not gain any weight, but I also haven’t lost any weight. I know weight isn’t the important part but i am 5′2 sitting at 235lbs. it may be a little important lol.

Now, I don’t have to wait! I am pretty excited. I am getting promoted at work, so starting the 13th I will be getting a good $3 raise. That is almost an extra paycheck a month. Plus we also get bigger bonuses as supervisors. The first of those come in October.

So, starting in October I will be able to go back to the gym. I am also switching locations at work. So my job will actually be closer to the gym. I can go to the gym before work, workout, shower, change, and go to work from there. I won’t have to backtrack all the way home (my current location is 5 minutes away from my house. the new location is 5 minutes away from the gym)

ALSO! I will be able to afford actually buying food! I actually am someone who likes eating healthy. I prefer it to all of the junk. I just have never had the money to be able to have it around like I want.

I am so excited!!! October is going to be a good month for me.
