#indoor jungle

LIVE

This Friday I’ll have my second tattoo session. The undone leaves will be completed and there’s going to be a bit more details added on the other leaves. So exciting! What do you think of my tattoo?

Here I’m also holding my beautiful philodendron Brasil. She is super happy on my Garage shelves and has grown a lot since I got her.

I usually wait for the soil to dry very well and then I soak it deeply and repeat.

Medium indirect light works well!

Do you grow one of this?

Please meet Chavo, our first Shiba Inu.

He was born in Taiwan and then he moved with us to the US. He has always respected my indoor plants, loves sleeping next to my alocasia Macrrohiza.

Plants: This is my crazy tropical corner underneath our deck. I’m loving this vibes and I’m impressed on how much they are loving this spot.

Our youngest and alpha of the group, Mochi.

She is our 1 year old Shiba. When we joined our family, she was definitely into my houseplants and outdoor plants.

I was able to train her not to touch the indoor plants, she quickly noticed the change in my soul, energy and voice ‍

However, she has been dedicated to destroying and eating anything I attempted to plant in my garden bed. Last year I grew a lot of stuff from seed and I was so damn excited and she ate them all, like the whole thing, she would even pull the roots!

Solution: Next month my husband is going to build a wood cover, so it stops her from getting in (Evil laugh).

Have you trained your dogs? Are they interested in your houseplants?

Happy New Plant Year!

May 2022 bring you so many pups, seeds to sprout, current babies to grow, flowers and hopefully bugs to stay the f*ck away!

I also hope this is a new year of learning and experimenting, my favorite part of loving plants. If you want to become a better plant parent, learn more about plant care and more, please feel free to DM me. I’m here to help!

Plants and Pups

The next few posts, I’ll introduce you to my three gorgeous dogs and a plant or two.

This is Kenji, a Chihuahua- Dachshund mix. He loves being close to my plants and under the sun. He also loves to cuddle!

The plants featured:

-Elegia tectorum

-Tibouchina heteromalla (flower)

Do you love when your dogs have a good relationship with your plants?

Guatemalan vibes added to my IKEA Plant cabinet. What do you think?

My IKEA cabinet has most of the tropical plants that require consistent humidity and light.

This keeps humidity around 85%~90%. If it drops, I can easily turn on a small humidifier at times.

The growing lights are on a timer. I can control intensity and hours per day.

Currently all is growing well! From begonias to heart fern to calatheas.
