I recently came across the information that when jason died he was four foot six. four foot fucking six at the age of fifteen is insane, especially considering the fact that as a fully grown adult he’s like six foot two or something. so now I can’t stop thinking about how funny it would be if he had stayed relatively short and then became the red hood. like imagine being a big bad crime lord who puts the fear of god into people and then one day a little five foot two dweeb with a machine gun comes out of nowhere and absolutely rocks your shit. embarrassing.

seeing people argue about wether it should be dick, jason, tim, or damian that get to play robin if he’s featured in the next battinson movie is so annoying to me becuase I literally could not care less. I just want to see battison adopt an orphan, run around fighting crime with him, and then come home to the batcave and be like “so did you do your homework?” “no” “why?” “didn’t want to” “cool want to help me solve this homicide case?” “hell yeah”. like that could work with any of them. stop fighting each other and start fighting matt reeves so battinson can get an orphan.

The fact that all three of Tim’s brothers have now attempted to kill him/succeeded at killing him is actually insane to me. DC writers really hate this child and want him to have familial trauma.

I swear to god if we actually do get a battinson and robin movie but they cast robin as some brooding 20 year old type I will throw myself into the sun. I need battinson and a tiny 13 year old dick grayson. I need dick literally cartwheeling into a fight in his bright ass costume while battinson is just nodding along like yeah that’s my son now.

can not emphasize enough that despite heartstopper being a teen romance about an out gay kid that gets bullied and a not out popular rugby player it doesn’t fall into the nasty ‘kid who’s bullied gets together with their bully’ trope. and not only does nick never take part in the bullying, he actively pushes back against the bullying even when it starts to negatively effect him.

ALSO can we please talk about the look of pure joy and relief on nick’s face when he saw tara and darcy kissing at the party. I think that every other gay/bi person I’ve ever met has had that same experience of seeing two people of the same gender kiss for the first time and just thinking “holy shit it’s not just me” and I just… it was so well acted and it honestly took my breath away a little bit.

as a bi person I just have to say that the real emphasis they put on nick discovering and labeling his bisexuality had me in literal tears at 3 am. especially because at no point did anyone, especially charlie, question or criticize the idea of him being bisexual (a really unfortunate trope). media loves to either ignore or demonize us so this was just so refreshing and needed.
