Inktober Day #22 is Gaz from Invader Zim. Invader Zim was a show I was kinda late to as I didn’t even know of the show until about 2004 and I only saw a handful episodes until I watched more of the show in 2012 and enjoyed it. It’s no surprise that the dark, creepy little girl Gaz is one of the most loved characters on the show, she was just great.
However I do have to note that she isn’t a “Goth”. She was just a Dark, creepy little girl type character in the same way Mandy from the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy was. Even Jhonen Vasquez has pointed this out. Anyway, Gaz is easily one of the best Darkly-inclined characters to ever made and it was so fun drawing her.
Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of our favorite TV series and fandom! If I’d been hit just a little earlier, I probably would have done it yesterday. :3
In any case, I congratulate all my fandom friends on our common little holiday :D

after hearing about what happened to “Very Important House”, a really cute show created by Jhonen Vasquez and JR Goldberg, I couldn’t help but feel immense sadness.

I can’t help but imagine what could’ve been if Disney didn’t can this idea, so i made an appreciation drawing for what could’ve been an amazing show. it seems not a lot of people know about this. IZ is a show that will most likely never have a definitive ending. The closest thing we’ve gotten to that, however, is the one JV showed to us in comic form one time. It involves Dib giving up on humanity to go on space adventures with Zim, GIR and Minimoose, drinking soda and riding giant space bunnies. It may be just a silly joke, though I can’t think of a more perfect ending than that.
Just a happy, experimental picture I’ve been wanting to make for a long time and finally got the chance to do so.
