I feel like watching a shitpost get a ton of notes is like watching a neglected child be successful. Like: “Oh honey!~ I put like zero effort into you, but you’re doing so much better than I expected!”

Trade Secret About Guys: Affection

Take everything I’m about to say with a grain of salt. I’m a romantic who had a bad home life and has trouble interpreting cues in general. But I’m willing to place my bet most guys never got enough affection at most stages of their life.

The kind of guys you would want to hug will cherish it. Some of us will never forget a kindness. We just don’t always know what to do with it. The problem with not getting a lot of affection is that we have trouble interpreting it. Some of the common contexts we get affection though, when we happen to get it at all, is when someone wants something from us or is flirting with us. It becomes where our mind goes when we get affection, so that can lead to misunderstanding.

Not every guy wants to bang every girl, legitimately, most of us probably are more than happy to have female friends with no romantic or sexual components to the relationship at all. Not that that isn’t something we would also like, but be patient and clear with your meaning, because we can’t always tell which one you want.

Try not to get offended if we misinterpreted something, just let us know. If the guy is not a creep he will apologize and everything will be just fine no harm no foul.

And I encourage you to just be nice to guys, we do appreciate it, and often do not get it enough. Some guys just suck, just like some members of any other possible group you can think of, but certainly not all of us. And if you show a guy you care and give him affection? Some of us are ride or die for that.

We like pirates because there is something pure about the thought of living on your own terms until something is strong enough to kill you. Like the romance of a doomed last stand.

Maybe I’ll starting writing for jjba again….. I need to rewatch it ngl

I have a couple more week of class before I’m out for the summer and I was thinking about potentially opening up some commissions when I am done to help me get back into the rhythm of drawing more often and such. Not a definite yes yet, just a possibility.

I know I received a few asks about them in the past, but would there still be any interest in me doing them now? Even after I’ve been like dead like the entire school year

was just thinking about this and I wonder if this can also be applied to feelings of sadness.. Like how a big coping mechanism is to seek out depressing music when we’re down or heartbroken. Does that help us ‘recalibrate’ our emotions in the same way? 

Disregarding the fact that classic works of literature were/are misogynistic, racist and homophobic based on the fact that they were a “product of their time” is frankly bullshit, and if you are going to read and study such books you should research, recognize, and understand the implications and impacts of these prejudices.

To be clear, I’m NOT saying these books shouldn’t be read or should be censored - I’m saying more research and background should be given for the frankly horrific displays of prejudice that is shown in them. 

Gifset idea #516: use that one Simpsons episode where Homer disappears into the bushes and Ned Flanders if I remember right he finally gets mad for once in this same episode. Make a comparisons/parallel gifset of TL getting he’s wee bit mad on the show…

Harry Potter should’ve had his scar over his eye like this and every now and again he’d have visions of what Voldemort was doing for a couple seconds every now and again and had to train himself to look for longer periods of time without alerting Voldemort that he has access to his line of sight… Idk, just a thought ‍♀️

I can’t get rid of the thought that Desert Bluffs is a bit like Lego City (the one from the Lego Movie) but with a twist.

A horrible, horrible twist.

OK, so maybe I’m reading into things, but has anybody noticed the connection between Voltron’s sword and the Blade of Marmora’s…uh…blades? In The Ark of Taujeer, we see Keith sacrifice answers to Zarkon’s tracking  to help out the team (because I’m sorry, the Galra being on a planet RIGHT before they show up again isn’t the same as “we’re in a worm hole millions of light years away from the Glara and OMG HERE THEY ARE OUT OF THE BLUE”. Please) , followed by the Red Lion informing Keith of a “plan” before all the other lions follow suit, and then Voltron’s sword grows. Now, comparably, we see a similar aspect in the BoM trials when Keith sacrifices answers about his past and birth for his team, and his own Galra blade grows in response. Not saying what it means because I don’t know if it even means anything but…it’s a neat coincidence.

you come from a country in which English is not the mother language, but you learn English so hard just because you envy those who can use English and you want to talk to them because you admire them and you want to do fangirling well… even though your oppars or unnirs or you could just say your idols (tho I hate this term IDKY) don’t speak decent English lmao

This isn’t necessarily about the monsterhigh live action but, one of my pet peeves is when things that were originally cartoons are turned live action.

Like cartoons have this liberty of being able to do things that aren’t realistic but it works because its not real at all. Like my best example is the bending in ATLA, it looks amazing in animation but fell flat in the live action.

The only exception to this is the Scooby doo og live actions, those two are sacred.
