Giving a little throwback for this #transformationtuesday post. I began my transition in a furniture store I managed in Waco, Texas…yup, you read that correctly…Waco . It’s hard to believe that was 8 years ago. I remember starting hormones near the end of 2011 and dreading the conversation I had to have with my regional manager to inform him of my transition. I was pleasantly surprised when his response was, “I’m from New York…I have been around the lgbt community my whole life. I have no problems with this at all. When do you want me to let corporate know?” As I slowly told coworkers, I kept being met with open arms and open hearts. I know it’s a rare occurrence to transition in a workplace and find so much support and for that I’m beyond grateful.
I have so many great stories from that experience and may share them as a few YouTube videos. I think I have shared one or two already.

Thank you #guavatree I feel like it’s a little early for #guavas but I’m not complaining. Got 5 pieces of #guava from our tree already. It would’ve been 6 but one was already too far gone - gravity beat me to it and the yellow fruit, which would’ve been hella #sweet was already on the ground partially squished from the fall. Sadge. There are 4 more still on the tree - 2 look like they’re over ripe and will probably fall to the ground too. They’re way too high for me to get to even if I stand on a step stool especially given my shoulder issues. I requested PTO for tomorrow to have an extended long weekend over the holiday because I have some serious spring cleaning to catch up on but what I really want to do is go #swim Unfortunately my local pool is closed until next year for renovations and it’s questionable whether or not my shoulders and right hip can handle #swimming after how sore I still am from the Intermediate Tuesday hip hop dance class.

Stoked to share that I just received my @speedousa Limited Edition Signature #Goggles I got both the @ryan_f_murphy & the @kathleenbaker2 #pink Speed Socket 2.0 Mirrored Goggles. I wish I could’ve gotten all 4 but I had to control myself. I at least had to be all #GOBEARS about it. Plus the Dressel goggles sold out in minutes so it wasn’t available by the time I Iogged on to Speedo’s website. I of course had to get another #Vanquisher because I actually need new goggles and we all know the signature goggles are gonna be tucked away as collector items, never to be used. This is my 3rd Vanquisher & I’m excited to use them!
