Imagine.

Peter comes back from the dead after Bruce’s snap, and returns to his family. He meets his adorable little sister, Morgan, and tries to adjust to his new life in this new house by the lake.

It is hard.

It’s hard to catch up on five years, and adjust to a family that has moved on without him. It’s hard to smile when no one notices the distress hidden behind it. It’s hard to continue to exist when he was perpetually forgotten.

Maybe he shouldn’t have come back.

It was Morgan’s birthday, a week after Peter’s birthday.

No one wished the teenager a happy birthday. No cake, no kind words, no smiles… nothing. But, it was okay. He was a big boy. Too big for such trivia. Mom and Dad were busy.

Everyone wished the little girl a happy birthday. A huge cake, toys, hugs… everything a child could dream of. It was perfect. All the love in the world for Morgan’s party, dozens of guests, balloons everywhere, confetti, laughter… Daddy and mommy at her disposal.

Peter really tried not to show his grumpiness that day. He didn’t mean to talk back to his father, or to make Morgan cry.

Tony, exhausted from the previous war against Thanos, took him aside, far from the party, far from Morgan’s ears. He didn’t realize that he was taking his anger out on his son, yet - to him, Peter was acting like a jealous brat. Tony was too tired to have a proper reflexion.

“What’s with the attitude, huh? You’ve been like this all evening! What’s the matter, don’t you get enough attention?! You aren’t an only child anymore, stop acting so selfish.”

Tony realized all too late how harsh his words were. Then, he saw Peter with his head bowed, ashamed, shy, crying.

“I… I just wish I had a cake, too…”

And, with horror, Tony began to realize what he had forgotten a week earlier.

tony: HEY! HEY!

pepper, whispering: shh, morgan’s sleeping

tony, whispering: oh, sorry

pepper, whispering: what did you need?

tony, whispering: there’s a fire

pepper: THERE’S A FIRE?

pepper: why is morgan crying?

tony: because we have wooden floors all over this house and she runs around in cotton socks like there aren’t going to be any consequences

The moment I saw this shirt I had do buy it even though I may have cried a little while holding it to my chest thinking about Tony.

It was unexpected because I never imagined to find such a beautiful shirt in a non-related nerd stuff shop, mostly because I didn’t think someone would pay attention to us in the Iron Dad fandom at the point of making an official shirt like that -it was such a little thing but it warmed my heart a lot.

And now I’m gonna wear it everywhere crying all the time thinking about my beloved Tony and all his children.

Morgan Stark’s father was gone.  He had been a superhero.  Mommy reminded her that he had built the company bearing their name from the ground up, invented more things than she could name, and had been a good man to those less fortunate.  Morgan knew better – her father was Iron Man – she had uncles, after all.

Uncle Happy was always doing something at the house. Morgan half-suspected that he’d moved in with them after her father died.  He cooked dinner, kept in touch with the other superheroes, and drove them around when he couldn’t do something for them.

Uncle Rhodey showed her places.  The new Avengers facility (though he wouldn’t take her inside, not yet).  They explored every street of the city her father fought so hard to protect.

The Professor helped her with her science projects. He knew everything about radiation. One day, she said that she’d like to build a robot.  The Professor said that maybe she’d get it right.  Morgan knew that that was another story for later.

Pete did science with her, too.  But Pete’s science was cool science.  Tech, like web shooters and tracers.  Computer coding and programming.

Cap was old.  Of course, she knew each of her father’s nicknames for Capsicle. He knew stories about her father and her grandfather.  Morgan knew that they hadn’t always agreed, but they had been good friends and strong leaders.

Hawkeye, well, Morgan wasn’t sure about his relationship with her father.  But she played with baby Nate and sometimes Lila on the Barton farm.  Her mother said that the fresh air was good for her.

Tony Stark might have died, but he came back to life for Morgan every time she saw his friends. Surrounded by his legacy, nobody was really surprised when an Iron Man suit was spotted flying around the Stark cabin.  Morgan Stark’s father had been a superhero.  So she would too.  After all, the world needed Iron Man.

Hear me out: War Machine movie. Set in the period betweenInfinity War and Endgame cos then we get to really get a look in detail about what it was like in those five years, what shit went down, what was enforcement like, etc AND we get to see soft Uncle Rhodey!!! Can you imagine Morgan and Rhodey- and we’d get to see soft retired Tony being happy for a change with his best friend. And don’t tell me that a War Machine movie wouldn’t kick ass. Come on: Rhodey is so badass and his humour kills. Basically I crave more Rhodey content cos let’s be honest we fucking deserve it.

Thanos could have won again in Endgame had he not been so cocky,he literally sits still and watches the avengers band together and doesn’t try to stop them.

Him being Tony’s main rival from avengers onwards is an interesting choice seeing as they have the same character flaw.

The difference being Tony grows from his family and works at controlling his ego compared to Thanos parading his daughters as prizes from planets he’s conquered and using them as a means to an ends.

Why did I think it would be a good idea to look up Morgan Stark videos on Youtube? They’re all so damn sad!

post endgame tony fluff bc we all need some
