‘Freshness’ has shifted from an organic state to an abstract, cultural sign. It’s become fluid and slippery: infusing feelings and atmosphere, products, architecture and design.

“Ever Fresh” reflects on this global currency of ‘freshness’ through installations, videos, objects and images. It will temporarily transform the gallery into a futuristic, commercial utopia—resembling those that surround us with plastic plants, sparkling surfaces and lively screens.

Exhibited artists are: Tully Arnot (AU), Kristin Cammermeyer (USA), Adham Faramawy (UK), Emily Parsons-Lord (AU), Marilyn Schneider (AU) and Kawita Vatanajyankur (THAI).

“Each to his own place of birth, but those who have the same one do not have the same image of it. This is how things always are with origins because nostalgia prevails over reality, inaccessible as it is. Which should bring us to question the nature of images, but where could we go if their matter was to fly up in smoke? And what disturbance would arise if the devices we use to fix encounters, love and landscape turned out to be mere confidence tricks?”

On January 26, 2022, it was announced that RBW, a record label known for artists such as MAMAMOO, Purple Kiss, Oneus, Onewe, and VROMANCE, will invest 9 billion won (approximately 30.5 million gold) to acquire a 39.1% stake in DSP Media and incorporate the agency as a subsidiary. At the same time, RBW CEO Kim Jinwoo also becomes the CEO of DSP Media.
A few other plans of the record label were also announced, including investment in NFT and metaverse.

DSP Media was founded in 1991, and currently features APRIL, KARD, and MIRAE among other kpop artists, as well as Heo Youngji (ex-KARA) as a solo artist. In the 90s it was, along with SM, the biggest label in kpop before the big three formed - they had artists like Sechskies, Fin.K.L and Click-B under their wing.

Now that the secret is out (sorry, again, Jenna), I figured it couldn’t hurt to share some of my poetry (thanks for giving them back, Jenna). I haven’t completely figured out my style yet, but I’m learning all the time :)

[ID:A stack of crumpled notebook paper, with three love poems, written in the earnest and cringey style of a 14 year old boy. The poem on the bottom reads: “years ago/boy meets girl/story like any other/now here we are/side by side/there’s so much to discover”. The poem in the middle stack reads: “this feeling/like never before/sunshine on my face/music everywhere/the songs that tell of love/that makes the world/shine brighter”. The poem on the top of the stack reads “the sound of your voice/like bells in the morning/the edge of your wit/a stone to sharpen myself on/the color of your eyes/the sweetest color of the sunset/the curve of your smile/the curve of my world”.
