IMFACT was dissolved on 03/01/2022. All members’ contracts have expired and they have not decided to extend them.

IMFACT consists of members 5 members: Jian, Jeup, Taeho, Sang and Ungjae. They debuted in January 27, 2016 with the mini-album LOLLIPOP and the debut song of the same name. During their career they released three more mini-albums “PRISM”, “ONLY U” and “L.L”.

Lee Jian, the group leader on his IG wrote that despite the termination of the contracts, this does not mean the boys will not return in the future as a group under a different management.

Niel announced on his live show that the last project under TopMedia that he will release is a single. Due to the non-renewal of his contract with the label there will be no promotion.

IMFACT’s Lee Sang is the third member to leave Star Empire after his contract expires. 

IMFACT’s Ungjae has not renewed his contract with Star Empire and is leaving the label, he announced on his SNS. Jeup from IMFACT just like Ungjae, did not renew his contract with Star Empire and is leaving the label.

At the moment, only Jian and Taeho, who are doing military service, are left at the label.

On January 26, 2022, it was announced that RBW, a record label known for artists such as MAMAMOO, Purple Kiss, Oneus, Onewe, and VROMANCE, will invest 9 billion won (approximately 30.5 million gold) to acquire a 39.1% stake in DSP Media and incorporate the agency as a subsidiary. At the same time, RBW CEO Kim Jinwoo also becomes the CEO of DSP Media.
A few other plans of the record label were also announced, including investment in NFT and metaverse.

DSP Media was founded in 1991, and currently features APRIL, KARD, and MIRAE among other kpop artists, as well as Heo Youngji (ex-KARA) as a solo artist. In the 90s it was, along with SM, the biggest label in kpop before the big three formed - they had artists like Sechskies, Fin.K.L and Click-B under their wing.

Jay Park the father of a new k-pop band?
An industry insider has revealed that Jay Park is starting work on creating a label for a kpop group!
Jay already mentioned a few years ago that he would like to create a kpop group in the future, because he himself was an idol and knows how it all looks like, and knows what such young people need.
Most likely the investor will be Kakao Entertainment. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Kakao reveals that intensive discussions are underway and the investment is expected to be one of the more expensive ones.
