P.S. I was broken hearted just a while ago because Gaara crushed Lee’s left arm and leg. :’( I suddenly remember the time I hated Neji’s arrogance. Not only Neji, but almost everyone because they always underestimate Naruto. :3 Re-watching all of the episodes from the beginning makes me feel nostalgic. And the opening at ending songs too! I remember my little sister and I used to sing along with their songs. OMG <3

Pairing: Shikamaru Nara x gn!Reader

If there was something the Nara loved to do and would gladly carry it on for days, it would be cloud-watching. However, compared to lying on the grass, staring at the bright sun that sometimes turned scorching, you preferred looking at the twinkles in the night sky—more peaceful and romantic, you supposed. And it did not take Shikamaru long to figure it out.
As a matter of fact, you were looking forward to today’s date because they predicted that there would be a meteor shower right here in Konoha. But Shikamaru did not believe it. So you made a bet with the genius—a genius bet. “Remember that you’ll need to do anything I ask in a day if there is one.”
The both of you quickly arrived at the observatory tower, and you gasped at the crowd already flooding the space. The smile on your face fell as you realized all the good spots were taken, leaving you with the only option to move to a hill farther away from the rest to get a better view of the expecting meteor shower.
You waited anxiously as time passed, and no sight of the astronomically significant occurrence was spotted. Shikamaru was grinning deviously, ready to declare his win over the bet. That was when you, finally, saw a twinkling, moving object descending from the sky, followed by many more. Your eyes lit up in amazement and you pulled him by his sleeves, urging him to look into the sky.
Shikamaru softly chuckled at the sight of your widened eyes and gaping mouth. “That happy?”
“It’s not like we get to see one daily,” you pursed your lips and turned your head around. The Nara was leaning back, head tilted to one side as he observed your antics with smiling eyes. Bashfully, you looked away. “Stop looking at me.”
However, despite how beautiful the meteor shower was, you could not get rid of the image of Shikamaru in your head—the glint in his eyes and his carelessly curved lips. Stealthily, you peeked at him. To your dismay, the man was like a hunter watching his prey, catching onto your act the moment you moved a muscle. “What’s the matter? I thought you didn’t want to miss a second of the meteor shower?”
“You—I just wanted to remind you of the b-bet,” your voice quietened the longer you spoke because Shikamaru was leaning in closer than ever. Soon, your sight was replaced with his almond eyes. “Shikamaru—”
He cut your words off, pressing his lips over yours in a hurry as if he was afraid the meteor shower would end before he claimed your sweetness. The Nara secretly smiled when he pulled away—your flushed face was better than any meteor showers he could recall, a sight that he would forever remember.
