Time flies and it’s a while ago now, but thanks a lot for those who visited our degree show last summer. Fortunately I could exhibit my handspun yarns and woven scarves next to the windows from which visitors could see the beautiful hills of Bath - inspiration source of the works. There also on the show were a book of watercolour drawings of seasonal hill views and a book of the back story introducing different breeds of wool, plant dyes, and how they were processed. And some vintage tools I love. I hope you enjoyed my work and other fabulous works by my friend designers!
もう随分時が経ってしまいましたが、作夏の卒業制作展へお越し頂いた皆様、ありがとうございました。幸運にも窓のあるスペースでの展示となり、作品のテーマであるBathの丘の風景と共にご覧頂くことができました。季節ごとの丘の風景を描いた水彩画と、制作過程の本も展示し、実際に使用した羊毛や染料が糸や織物になるまでの過程をご紹介しました。日本とイギリスの古道具もいくつか。たくさんの方にお越し頂き、たいへん嬉しく思います。またどこかでお会いしましょう。

Those are experimental fabric samples and show space drawing I made in March. Please come and see what the actual space looks like. I’m very glad that I received some positive feedbacks so far - including a sweet compliment from 9 year old girl - but I would love to hear your voices, too!
これは3月の私の作業机の様子です。まだ実験的な段階のサンプルの奥に見えるのが、展示空間のデザイン画です。実際の展示の様子は、ぜひお越しになってご覧ください。既に（9歳の女の子を含む）数名の方からご感想を頂戴しておりますが、残り一週間、皆様のお声を楽しみに致しております。

冬の間乾していた蔓の類いを片付けまして…
糸を干しましょう！糸！！
最近周囲で桜染めの投稿を拝見しましたので、わたくしも。落ち枝ですが。左が一番液の黄色、右は二日半に渡り焚いて冷ましてを繰り返したオレンジ。
優しいオレンジです。枇杷アルミっぽい。
そして三度黒の手前、二度チャコールグレーなログウッド鉄。織りたいイメージが出てきたので、デザイン修正です。
本日ハラをくくって湯通しをいたしました。
湯通しというのは着物を織る時に糸にかけてる糊を落とすのと、経緯を引っ張って目を揃えるという大事な工程なんですが…業者さんが閉められまして。どこか新しいとこに出そうかどうしようかと思いながら…久々の自前。
ただ寒い！うちの座敷外と変われへんもん。気温低い湿度高い、よう乾くかーい！と思いながら…だって来週より今日の方が気温高そうだから
で、その結果…乾きが悪いのでアイロン頼みとなり、アイロンがけ５時間。腕痛いです。しかしともあれ…久々の反物出来上がり！来週あたりから仕立てに入ります！
•Don’t discard fabric if it has an imperfection, be creative an find ways to hide/upgrade the defects.
- Use draping techniques.
- Add pockets on top of the imperfection.
- Dye the section.
- Place the patterns strategically to avoid it.
- Use embroidery or beading.
- Accept the beauty of it!!!.
