Night

Like darkness, the night signifies the pre-cosmogenic, pre-natal darkness preceding rebirth or initiation and illumination, but it is also chaos; death; madness; disintegration; reversion to the foetal state of the world.

Night is also, according to Hesiod, the ‘Mother of the Gods’, the enveloping, maternal aspect of the feminine power, usually symbolized by a female figure with a star-spangled veil, holding a child, one black (death) and one white (sleep), on either arm; or by the crescent moon, or poppies, or the owl, or black wings.

As all-devouring time, day and night can be depicted as a white and a black rat.

Going by night symbolism esotericism.

Devotional Acts For Goddess Lilith

hey! so, as a devotee of the demoness, Lilith, i’ve decided to make this post and dedicate it to her. here are some stuff you can do for the sacred demoness.

1. stand up for yourself, know your rights.

2. be confident.

3. write/read poetry dedicated to night.

4. do research about the dark goddess.

5. make a playlist for Her, vibe to the songs that reminds you of Lilith.

6. chant Her enn, talk to Her, feel Her presence if she’s near.

7. light incense for Her.

8. meditate with the crystals she admires.

9. give Her some nice tea. hibiscus? hell yeah.

10. dress up in the colours she admires.

11. be aware of your femininity, try connecting with the divine feminine.

12. stand up for other women’s rights.

13. give charity in Her name.

14. self-care.

Here hard by the marge of this lone lunar lake      Comes light from that pale lunar eye, It shines

Here hard by the marge of this lone lunar lake

Comes light from that pale lunar eye,

It shines on a girl as she bathes in the brake,

Her beauty is such that my breath it will take,

Now surely for her I would die.

She’s white as the cool moon is pale and so white,

Her hair is a great scarlet weave,

She’s learned at love this nymph of the night,

She eyes me and smiles knowing well my sad plight,

And knows that I’m helpless to leave.

She stands now erect, she’s so graceful and cool,

I’m near faint at the sway of her hips,

She rises with strength from this cold lunar pool,

A nymph to be sure, she’s both potent and cruel,

She brushes my face with her lips.

I am plunged into realms that few men may call,

I feel like a soul who has died,

I am there in the reeds in a terrible sprawl,

Each sigh from her throat is a harsh madrigal,

Owned by this pale blushless bride!

Here hard by the marge of this lone lunar lake

Comes light from that pale lunar eye,

It shines on a girl as she bathes in the brake,

Her beauty is such that my breath it will take,

Now surely for her I would die.

O lady of void

I call you

O lady of shadows

I know you

O lady of dark

You come

When Dusk is done

O lady of Night

We succumb

To your veil

We sleep

You know our dreams

You keep the stars

In your wings of dark

Flying beyond

The horizon

When sun is gone

You’re our guardian

O lady of Night

Nótt

You darken the skies

Your deep blue

We look into your hue

Nótt

O Maker of dreams

Maiden of Nightmares

Sing us a song

That lulls us to sleep

Help us to know our fiends

Face our fears

Not grow to weak

O Nótt

Lady of Void

Bring to me

Your Wisdom

Of Shadows
