Actress Sally Field won an Oscar for her portrayal of this textile factory worker who spun her belief in workers’ rights into forming a union…much to the chagrin of her higher-ups. Norma Rae was based on a real person–union organizer Crystal Lee Sutton, who agitated for better working conditions for her fellow workers at the J.P. Stevens textile plant in North Carolina during the 1970s. Sutton’s fictional counterpart introduced the worker’s rights cause to moviegoing audiences across the United States, and “Norma Rae” remains a classic underdog story interwoven with a timeless social message.

Rachel picks up Curtis from school, takes him to the playground, piano lessons and helps with his homework.
“She has become apart of our family … he absolutely adores her,” Curtis’ mom, Elissa Rogers, told “GMA.” “She’s a just great person with good heart so it’s been a blessing to have her helping us out with Curtis.”
When the pandemic hit, all senior events came to a halt for Rachel and her classmates. For safety measures, she stopped babysitting Curtis for two months.
Rogers explained the situation to her son and told him Rachel couldn’t have a prom.
“His response was, ‘We can throw a mini prom’ and it grew from there.”

My first night into my trip with my fiancee, we had dinner with my fiancées best friends and we had a great time together. That was the first time that all sic of us have been able to get together for anything.
