Yuri!!! on Ice’s English dub is the bestthing I’ve seen in a long time
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve watched it subbed in Japanese at first and basically, everyone in there is chaotic and dramatic 24/7, just as one would expect from an anime about male figure skaters
But man, oh, man, that fucking dub has me rolling on the floor, it simply adds another layer into the cauldron for me
Overall, I think the whole dubbing is really great. It’s funny, makes Yuri ten times more dramatic and Yuiro with Victor ten times more Russian. The side characters are ten times more recognizable for me… And Chris? M U R D E R M E.

History Geek Note: have you ever wondered why old pictures show the chairs and sofas covered in doilies? No? OK, it’s just me….anyway the reason is that Macassar Oil and similar hair “treatments” were greasy and would stain the furniture. It was easier to wash a doily covered in hair oil then it was to get the stain out of the back of the chair, so ladies began covering everything with doilies. Now you know. Don’t you feel better? To anyone who doesn’t know how a vaccine works and would like to, this is how! (But oversimplified)
The vaccine basically contains a fake virus (or a disarmed virus), but your body thinks it’s the real virus. When it is injected into your body, your body will think it’s the real thing despite it actually only being a fake virus. Because it thinks it’s the real virus it fights it like it would any other sickness and creates antibodies. These antibodies are what fight and kill the virus. Antibodies continue to live in your body after they kill the virus. (This is why you have an imunity to sicknesses after you get over it). Anyway, now that your body has fought off the fake virus, you have the antibodies to kill the real virus!! So, if you are vaccinated, you will be resistant to the virus if you catch it because you already have the antibodies to fight it off!
The disarmed virus in the vaccine does not effect you in anyway except to promote the creation of antibodies. It will not make you sick like the actual virus.

netflix & procrastinate: honestly wants to do well, gets distracted easily, when they’re focused they get shit done, pulls lots of all nighters, tells everyone ‘im fine’ when not fine, accidentally skips breakfast, loves their friends, gets anxiety over tests and quizzes
pastel:is always organized, loves to journal, actually listens to the teacher, people think they’re always super sweet, wants to visit japan, loves animals, does research for fun, looks over work 948208 times before turning it in, watches horror movies and then regrets it
complaint department: acts like they didn’t have enough time to do homework (they did), blames others for their problems, doesn’t study then cry when they get a bad grade, secretly is very insecure, is always out “sick”, acts better than others for no reason sometimes
chilly child: is very relaxed but knows how to work, is nice to their teachers, tries to avoid half-assing things, loves autumn, likes studying with other people, is very self motivating, tries not to focus on the letter grade but rather how hard they worked, and tbh they’re just tryna enjoy life,
