Because attacking Shireen’s funeral wasn’t already an impressive display of shamelessness and cowardice, the IDF is also attacking Waleed AShareef’s funeral, who’s been struggling with his injuries since they attacked Al-Aqsa in Ramadan
the israeli murderer who shot shireen claims during the investigation that he didn’t “see her” and he “didn’t know” he shot her. just let that sink in. he’s a sniper, he was in his car 190 meter away from shireen and armed with a sniper rifle with a scope, but he didnt see her? these constant and ridiculous lies about how they murdered her are only making the situation worse. hope they all choke and perish.
The fact that the Palestine tag rn is full of people talking about Eurovision while still watching the show after years of Palestinians asking for boycott - two Palestinians were murdered yesterday but you can’t even turn the tv off. Are you serious.
I didn’t know this until now, but the Palestinian flag is quite literally on a banned flag list for Eurovision along with the Crimean Tatar, Basque, Artsakh, and Kosovo flag as of 2016 - so no I have no respect for this show and neither should you.
I understand what you’re trying to say, but at the same time, what do you expect me to do, then? Pick up a gun, travel to other side of the world and fight?
Plus Palestine is not a part of Europe, so I understand why they don’t want to bring that up in purely EUROPEAN show. Plus Eurovision is supposed to peacefully unite all countries through music without any conflicts being involved. That’s why they ban the mentions of conflicts. These don’t belong there.
If it was something like BandAid, where it’s purpose would be to help those in need, then your point would be valid (if any conflict would be left out), but Eurovision was created for different purpose - to bring joy and happiness to Europe after all the shit that happened during WW2 and shortly after its end.
And lastly, why would Palestinians want to boycott the show? They’re not Europeans, they have nothing to do with the show and the show has nothing to do with them. You might as well start boycotting every show that runs in TV, because there is a war somewhere.
Trust me, we know there’s a war. We know there’re conflicts. But we can’t do anything with that. Not us, normal people anyways. And not even the government if you’re from small country like I am.
And let me tell you, we all here watch Eurovision to unite and have fun. I was in a chat with people from different European countries and we just had fun discussing different songs, how the points were given, celebrating the winner and praising the one’s who didn’t win.
You’re missing the entire point of the boycott and it shows.
And condescending to us as if we do not know what we are talking about really shows that you probably care more about a dumb song competition more than human life. The pinnacle of white privilege.
This is a form of cultural boycott meant to show Israel that as long as they’re committing war crimes on a daily basis, their cultural contributions are to be ignored. That their art will not be showcased nor recognized nor celebrated.
Also Israel isn’t even in Europe lmao but we already know the qualification for Eurovision isn’t “being European”, it’s whiteness.

In a crystal whirlpool, such steepness!
Behind us the sienna mountains stand out,
Jagged cathedrals of raving mad cliffs
Are suspended in the air,
Where there is wool and silence.2
From the hanging staircase of prophets and kings,
Descends an organ, the fortress of the Holy Ghost,
The brave barking and gentle ferocity of sheepdogs,
The sheepskins of shepherds, and the staffs of judges.3
Here is motionless ground, and along with it
I drink the cold mountain air of Christianity,
The abrupt Credo and the psalmist’s pause,
The keys and tatters of apostolic churches.4
What sort of line could deliver
Crystal high notes in the fortified ether,
And from the Christian mountains in the astounded space,
Grace descends, like a song of Palestine.-Osip Mandelstam
