that was on

Forgive me
it is a foul bauble
of man’s

My nam is Drac

And when I see

A mirrer not reflecting me

I screm and toss it

To the grass

That bauble’s gone

I yeet the glass

What is better than a painting with a dragon?
A painting featuring 16 dragons I’d say ;)
.
This one was done for the third artist grant which I received this year - thanks to Stiftung Rheinland-Pfalz für Kultur!
I believe this worked well as an „Ancient Kaiju“-piece because the original from Joseph Wright of Derby is from 1775;)
.
Swipe left to see some process pics and the original work.
.
This piece was published first on March at my Patreon, really sorry for not posting more frequently over here but preparations for conventions keep me busy - and a fourth artist grant
.
I hope you like my result as much as I enjoyed working and especially learning from this old masterpiece!

I feel like Macbird gets more sure-footed with every book on many levels. First off, there are not one, but three […]

NEWonThe Baker Street Babes: Book Review: Mick Finlay’s “Arrowood and the Thames Corpses”

The third volume in the Arrowood series, after Arrowood and The Murder Pit, is set in the summer of 1896. It is seethingly hot and journalist turned private detective William Arrowood is out of money due to a lack of paying jobs. The events are told by Arrowood’s companion and occasional strongman, Norman Barnett, and once more we delve into the grimy and violent London south of the river.
