That said folks, keep an eye out if you surf proshipper tags and see positivity posts from new blogs with no other notes. Apparently this scumbag is posting from alt accounts to try and ‘uncover’ the 'hidden proshippers’ so he can libel them and 'out’ them as pedophilia supporters. Which is NOT correct, is dumb as fuck, but there it is. Typical anti harassment.

Anyone who harasses other people over fiction is NOT proship, no matter what they say. Really, if you’re proship, you shouldn’t be harassing others in general, which includes antis. Harassment isn’t cool. Block antis and move on when you see them, do not engage. They don’t deserve your time and energy, and you don’t deserve the stress that comes with dealing with them.

There are going to be proshippers who like and enjoy minor/adult ships, yes. Not all of them: it’s not something I like, personally, it squicks me out, and I’m not alone among proshippers in that. There are plenty of proshippers who actively dislike/are-squicked-or-triggered-by/flat-out-hate different types of problematic ships, such as pedophilic ships, incestuous ships, etc, because the basis of being proship isn’tabout what you personally like or enjoy in shipping.
The basis of being proship is being anti harassment.
Being proship is about not harassing real peopleoverfiction.
BecauseFiction =/= Reality.
Here’s the question you have to ask yourself. Are you okay with, or do you support, harassing real people over fiction? No matter how disgusting or wrong or immoral that fiction would be if it were real? If your answer is ‘yes,’ in any way, shape, or form, then you are not proship. If your answer is 'no,’ congratulations. You understand the difference between fiction and reality, and you meet the requirements to be proship.
Remember: you can’t judge a person by what they like or enjoy in fiction. It does not mean they condone or support or endorse it in reality.
